TAG TEAM TOURNEMENT - QUARTER FINALS
HARDY BOYZ Vs. DOGG POUND
**The first match of the pay per view saw the Hardy Boys pick up a win against the Dogg Pound,
after Road Dogg accidently hit Rick Steiner with a right hand.
Steiner went crazy and dropped Jesse James with a shot to the back of the head with a right
hand of his own. Only his hand was wrapped in a chain and Jesse James was knocked forward
into Matt Hardy who hit the Twist of Fate to win.
Following the match, Davey Boy Smith tried to get Jesse James and Rick Steiner to make up but
ended up on the mat after Jesse James hit a Pump-Handle Slam on him.**
The Hardy Boyz defeated Dogg Pound (Jesse James and Rick Steiner) when M. Hardy
pinned J. James with the Twist of Fate in 0:04:50.

TAG TEAM TOURNEMENT - QUARTER FINALS
SHOOTERS w/t Faarooq Vs. M.D.GROUP w/t DiBiase
**Good match between two brutal tag teams in the WWF. The Million Dollar Group appeared to have
problems against the matial arts and submission style of both of the Shooters and came close
to losing on a number of ocassions.
But soon Ted DiBiase unleashed yet another plan! He distracted the official as Edge ran down
to ringside to help out his MDGroup mates. But all three were no match for the three Shooters
as the ring filled. Shamrock was spilled to the outside and double teamed by Test and Edge
while Bull backed away from Faarooq and Blackman.
Then the unthinkable, Faarooq spun Blackman around and hit the Dominator on him. Faarooq then
dived outside to attack Shamrock with Test and Edge while Bull hit the Scissor Kick on Steve
  Blackman for the win.**
Million Dollar Group (Bull Buchanan and Test) defeated
The Shooters (Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman) when Bull Buchanan pinned
Blackman with the Scissor Kick in 0:08:41.

TEN MINUTE LIMIT HaRdCoRe CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE
CRASH (C.) Vs. FAAROOQ Vs. THE BULLDOG Vs. TAZZ Vs. AL SNOW
**Another extreme hardcore title time limit match that seems to becoming a Pay Per View regular,
saw Crash take on four others with a ten minute limit.
The match immediatly started with a pinfall after Crash was taken down by a T-Bone Tazplex
  from Tazz.
Tazz then held on to the title for over five minutes before he got caught when the other four
men teamed up on him. Tazz fought out though and sent Faarooq flying into Bulldog and Snow
with an arm/leg Tazmission. But as he got up Crash nailed him with a brutal chair shot to
pick up the win and the title belt.
As Crash's arm was held up by the referee, Tazz recovered and pounced on him with a Tazmission
while the other three were still down. Crash tapped out almost immediatly and Tazz regained
  the title belt.
The match then continued and with just a minute left, Tazz looked secure in winning the match
after he had held the belt for most of the match anyway. But again, the other four teamed up
on him and sent him to the outside. They fought near to the Spanish announce table and sent
him onto the top of the table as well.
But as Faarooq climbed onto the table to finish him off, he was yanked off by the Bulldog who
then tried to get up himself, only to be pulled down by Crash. All three then slugged it out
as Al Snow took advantage of the distraction to put Tazz through the announce table with the
Snow Plow. The ref counted the three and Snow picked up the title belt and staggered to his
  feet.
Faarooq wasn't finished though and put Al Snow in the Dominator, however the new champion was
able to survive when Crash threw Faarooq over the railings to make the cover....but the time
limit expired before the three count could be made.**
Al Snow won a five man Battle Royal against Crash, Faarooq, The Bulldog & Tazz:
x Tazz defeated Crash after the T-Bone Tazplex in 0:00:30
(Tazz won the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
x Crash defeated Tazz after a chair shot in 0:06:05
(Crash won the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
x Tazz defeated Crash after the Tazmission in 0:06:17
(Tazz won the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
x Snow defeated Tazz after the Snow Plow in 0:09:35
(Al Snow won the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)

**A video package starts up on the TitanTron.**
VO - Edge and Christian, a team joined by blood.....These brothers were classed as one of the
best tag teams EVER in the WWF.
**Various clips of E&C holding up tag titles and doing 5 second poses.**
VO - But that wasn't enough for Edge....Edge wanted more gold and rather then carrying on in
the tag team division as well, Edge decided he wanted no more of the team......or his
     brother!
**The attacks and interference against Christian from the last few weeks comes up on the screen
and ends in a close up of an unconcious Christian.**
VO - Then the odds increased as Edge found someone with as much faith in him as he had.....
**The Edge referee screw job in the Angle Vs. Austin match appears. Plus Edge shaking the hand
of Ted DiBiase and joining the Million Dollar Group.**
VO - With DiBiase by his side, who knows what Edge can achieve. But the big question is, Who
will win tonight? Will it be raw anger or the mighty dollar that will play the deciding
     factor?

CHRISTIAN Vs. EDGE w/t DiBiase
**Christian started the match with a flury of punches and kicks as he took out his pent up
aggression on Edge. Edge was stunned at his brother's attack and soon rolled outside to
  regroup with Ted DiBiase.
Eventually the match pace slowed as Edge kept his younger brother under control with some
  mat moves.
The ending came as Christian tried to send Edge into the corner, but it was reversed and he
went spine first into the corner. As Christian came out of the corner, Edge ran to meet him
  with a crushing Spear.**
Edge pinned Christian after a Spear in 0:09:55.

TAG TEAM TOURNEMENT - QUARTER FINALS
LATINO HEAT Vs. THE DUDLEY BOYS
**The third of four first round matches in this tournement saw Latino Heat take on the Dudley
  Boys.
Despite having the power and strength advantage, the Dudley Boys were unable to pick up the
win as Essa Rios and Eddie Guerrero held them at bay.
D-Von was getting so frustrated about this that he miss-timed a shoulder barge and Eddie
capitalised by taking him down in an armbar. Buh Buh Ray came in to help but ended up on the
mat after Essa Rios nailed him with a Missle Dropkick off the top rope.**
Latino Heat defeated The Dudley Boys when E. Guerrero made D-Von submit to an armbar submission
in 0:11:09.

TAG TEAM TOURNEMENT - QUARTER FINALS
HELL'S FURY Vs. STRATUSPHERE
**The former champions, StratusPhere were able to pick up the win against the Kane/Vampiro team
  completely against the momentum.
Kane and Vampiro controled the match but it was Trish Stratus and Billy Gunn who cost them
the match after Kane and Tim White were distracted by Trish. This allowed Gunn to come in
and hit the Fame-Ass-Er on the Dark Angel.
Vampiro kicked out of the pinfall from Saturn though, but a quick tag to Venis followed by
a double low kick allowed the Fisherman Suplex pin to be made.**
StratusPhere defeated Hell's Fury (Kane and Vampiro) when Venis pinned Vampiro
after a fisherman suplex in 0:12:44.

**The backstage area is shown and Michael Cole is shown waiting by the wrestler entrance.**
COLE - Yes folks, I've just heard that the challenger for the WWF Title, Kurt Angle has arrived
here. In just a second he'll come through this door from the car park.
**As if on cue, Kurt Angle walks in wearing his wrestling singlet underneath a training top.
He is looking straight ahead and almost walks past Cole.**
COLE - Kurt, Kurt! Can we get a few words about your title shot against Steve Austin?
KURT - Sure, what kind of hero would I be if I didn't have a little time for my fans. Basically
tonight against Austin, I'm going to need to have three I's
COLE - Oh, Intellegence, Integraty and Intensity right!
KURT - Well no.....I was actually thinking about an eye in the back of my head because of Ted
DiBiase and the Million Dollar Group likely to interfere but I'm please to see you
       remembered my other three I's.
COLE - So how do you actually prepare for a match like this?
KURT - It's simple really, I've been working out as much as I can and of course drinking plenty
of nutritional milk....low fat of course. They help build bones and fortify calcium.
COLE - O...kaayy, so are you nervous?
KURT - I haven't got time to be nervous. I've got to watch my back before and during the match
in case Sell Out Steve has got a plan. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get some
mental training in before the match and study some more of Austin's matches.
COLE - Thank you Kurt Angle, back to you JR and King at ringside.

WWF EUROPEAN TITLE MATCH
'Mr Ass' BILLY GUNN (C.) w/t Trish Vs. TRIPLE SYXX
**Triple Syxx battled hard in this match in an attempt to win the European championship. Syxx
and Gunn fought hard as both wanted to walk off with the title but it was obvious that Syxx
  was more determained.
However as his Hell's Fury team mates (Kane & Vampiro) found out earlier, Trish is always
going to be a factor in matches.
Once again she caused a distraction for the official and Syxx which allowed Gunn to recover
and as Triple Syxx turned Mr. Ass pounced with the Sleeper Neckbreaker allowing him to pick
up the win and the title defence.**
Billy Gunn pinned Triple Syxx after a Sleeper Neckbreaker in 0:10:55.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Billy Gunn retained the WWF European Title.)

TAG TEAM TOURNEMENT - SEMI FINALS
THE HARDY BOYZ Vs. M.D.GROUP
**First semi-final saw the Hardy Boys and the MDGroup in the ring in a non-wrestling capacity
  for most of it.
Ted DiBiase stod behind Test and Bull alongside Faarooq who was holding a silver briefcase.
DiBiase then offered Matt & Jeff Hardy a pay off if they would take a 'dive' and let his
  team advance to the finals.
The Hardy Boys looked like they were going to accept but then used the briefcase to hit
Faarooq with it as Test and Bull taunted the crowd. Jeff then leaped off Matt's back onto
Bull's shoulders and used the victory roll to get the three count as Test helped up Ted
DiBiase and Faarooq completly oblivious to his partner's predicament.**
The Hardy Boyz defeated Million Dollar Group (Bull Buchanan and Test) when
J. Hardy pinned Bull Buchanan after a Victory Roll in 0:04:37.
Rating: *

TAG TEAM TOURNEMENT - SEMI FINALS
LATINO HEAT Vs. STRATUSPHERE
**The second and last Semi-Final saw Latino Heat taking on StratusPhere. This time, Trish and
Gunn were kept out of the match as the Kat and Chyna accompanied Latino Heat to ringside.
Rios and Guerrero completly took StratusPhere by surprise by that action and of course meant
that the former champions would have to win the match of their own accord rather then Trish
and Mr. Ass winning it for them.
This was too much for StratusPhere and Latino Heat capitalised and it wasn't long before
Venis was put away with a top rope Essa-sault from Lil' Heat for the three count.
After the match an eight person brawl errupted as Saturn, Venis, Gunn and Trish came in to
stop Guerrero and Essa's celbration. The Kat and Chyna soon evened the odds and it wasn't
long before Trish's team were backing up the walkway cursing Latino Heat.**
Latino Heat defeated StratusPhere when Rios pinned Venis with the Essa-sault in
0:09:52.

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH
CHRIS BENOIT (C.) w/t Shane McMahon Vs. CHRIS JERICHO
**The match of the night saw the two Canadian stars fight it out for the Intercontinental title
belt. This was only their second one-on-one meeting in the last five months and it didn't
disappoint as both men came close to winning this one.
Jericho came the closest to winning though as he had Benoit down following a face crusher
bulldog. He then nailed the Asai Moonsault but Chris Benoit's foot was placed on the rope
  by Shane McMahon.
Chris Jericho was livid but carried on with the match and soon had Benoit in the double
powerbomb. But once more Shane McMahon interfered by pulling the referee out of the ring.
Y2J had, had enough and pulled Shane into the ring as Benoit was laid out in the middle of
the ring. Shane begged away from Jericho, but ended up eating mat when Y2J shoved him down
and applied the Walls of Jericho to the Co-Owner.
Although this delighted the crowd, it was obviously a mistake by Jericho as Benoit was able
to pull Jericho off and straight into the Crippler Crossface. Jericho was in the center of
the ring and was fading fast, he did manage to get to the ropes but Shane O-Mac knocked him
off again before the ref could see. A few seconds later, the referee called for the bell as
Chris Jericho began to change colour.**
Chris Benoit made Chris Jericho submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:18:37.
Rating: **** 1/2
(Chris Benoit retained the WWF Intercontinental Title.)

**'Mankind Wreck' plays as the Commissioner comes out followed by the Rock. As the Rock N Sock
Connection enter the ring, Foley calls for the microphone.**
MICK - Guys, come on out and set this thing up.

**Several WWF crew members come out carrying parts of a Cage. They then begin to set up the
cage around the ring as Mick continunes talking.**
MICK - Now, over the last few weeks and months, The OutKasts have tried and succeeded in gang
attacks against me and the Rock as well as several other WWF Superstars. So this match
will now be a CAGE match with escapes and pinfalls being the decider.
ROCK - So Hall and Nash...it's two on two now, so what ever plans you had are out the window
now. IF YA SMELL-LALALLALALALAAAAA WHAT THE ......
MICK - SOCK IS COOKING!
ROCK - ROCK IS COOKIN'!

**By now the cage has been fully put up and the crew members leave as Scott Hall and Kevin Nash
come out to the 'OutKast' theme looking furious.**

TAG TEAM CAGE MATCH
ROCK 'N' SOCK CONNECTION Vs. THE OUTKASTS
**The Rock N Sock Connection upped the odds before the match started when Commissioner Foley
turned the match into a cage match. Obviously this news hadn't reached the back as Triple
H and Chris Benoit, the other OutKasts, came out to help only to be stopped by the 15 foot
  high steel cage.
Eventually Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were beaten down to the mat when Foley hit a double
arm DDT on Nash and Rock hit the Floatover DDT on Hall.
With both OutKasts doing, Mick Foley began climbing the cage as the Rock stayed in the ring.
The Rock then dragged Scott Hall so he was next to Kevin Nash and signalled for the People's
  Elbow.
Mick Foley reached the outside of the cage and just seconds later the Rock hit both OutKasts
  with a DOUBLE People's Elbow.**
Rocky Maivia and Mick Foley defeated The OutKasts by escaping the cage in
           0:16:34.

LAST MAN STANDING MATCH
'H.B.K.' SHAWN MICHAELS Vs. 'The Game' TRIPLE H
**A classic match that saw Shawn Michaels and Triple H beat each other to a bloody pulp.
The match was close as both men found it hard to keep down the other for the ten count. The
NO Disqualification element to this match increased the brutality to a whole new level as
chairs, ring bells and tables were brought into play.
Triple H put Shawn down constantly during a flury involving the chairs after he hit HBK in
the spine with a brutal shot. With Michael's old injury, it looked like HBK's return would
be short lived but he wouldn't stay down.
HHH propped a table up against a corner as Michaels got back to his feet. But Michaels was
able to strike first with the Sweet Chin Music that sent the Game backwards and crashing
through the table. Both men where down and the ref began a double count, as the ref got to
eight, both men staggered back to their feet and stumbled into the middle of the ring.
The Game recovered the fastest and kicked HBK before following up with the Pedigree. Again
both men fell down in a heap but The Game got up on seven whilest Shawn was unable to answer
  the count.**
Hunter Hearst Helmsley beat Shawn Michaels via the Pedigree in 0:27:53
Rating: *** 1/2

**Highlights of Latino Heat's route to the final against the Dudley Boys and StratusPhere. The
action then goes to Michael Cole who is standing inbetween Essa Rios and the Kat to his left
and Eddie with Chyna on his right.**
COLE - Well guys, it's been a fairy tale night for you as you managed to get past two of the
tag teams expected to win this match. Do you think you can win again and walk off with
       the tag team titles?
EDDY - Michael, you know that we are not a fairy tale team. I mean look at us, we got the HEAT!
ESSA - Plus we got some great motivation to win the next match.
COLE - Yes, the tag team titles.
EDDY - Actually I think he was talking about our Mami's.
COLE - Oh, well what about the fact that this is now going to be a ladder match, how does that
       effect you?
ESSA - It doesn't faze us. It's still a match we're going to win.
EDDY - Besides, we're used to climbing ladders.....when we go all Shakespeare and climb them to
       our Mami's balconies.
ESSA - Romeo style.
COLE - Well, you heard it folks. Latino Heat are ready to win the tag team titles...but lets
take you to highlights of their opponents and how they got to the final.

**Highlights of the Hardy Boys winning against the Dogg Pound and Bull & Test is shown. The
action then goes backstage again as Jonathan Coachman stands by with the Hardy Boys & Lita.**
COAC - We are growing ever closer to the finals for the tag team titles, so Matt & Jeff, what
are your thoughts before this match?
MATT - Our thoughts are that the idea of Mick Foley to make this a ladder match is going to help
       us.
JEFF - We put tag team ladder matches into the record books and we'll do it again tonight to
once again be the WWF Tag Team champions.
MATT - Why? Simply because we ARE TOO XTREME!

**The Hardy Boys and Lita walk off screen to head to ringside.**
COAC - Latino Heat against the Hardy Boys.....this will be an epic battle that I am looking
forward to, back to you at ringside.

TAG TEAM TOURNEMENT - FINAL
LADDER MATCH FOR THE VACANT TITLES
HARDY BOYZ Vs. LATINO HEAT
**Yet another great match and the third of the night that ended in a standing ovation from the
  capacity crowd.
Both these young teams proved why they were in the final though as they mixed it up with
fast pace, high flying moves and great stamina despite being their third match of the night.
In the end it was the Latino Heat team that won after Jeff Hardy was hurricanrana'ed off the
top of one ladder by Essa Rios, as Matt Hardy fell off the second ladder when Eddie Guerrero
rammed Matt's head into the top of the ladder.
With Matt, Jeff and Essa Rios down, Eddie Guerrero was able to reach up and retrieve the tag
  team championships for his team.
After the match, Matt & Jeff shook hands with the Heat and celebrated in the ring with them
alongside Lita, Chyna and the Kat.**
Latino Heat defeated The Hardy Boyz in 0:13:16.
Rating: ****
(Latino Heat won the WWF Tag Team Champions.)

**A video package plays showing the combatants for the main event attacking each other in and
out of the ring in the last few weeks.

elimination tag match. Followed by Steve Austin, Test & Bull attacking Angle after the
 pinfall.
RAW 27-11 - Ted DiBiase is hit with the Olympic Slam after hitting Angle during a three-on-
three tag match. Angle gets up and walks right into the Sell Out Stunner.
RAW 04-12 - Edge screws Angle out of the WWF Title by refusing to count when Kurt hits the
Olympic Slam on the champion, Steve Austin. Followed by a roll-up and quick count against
Angle that let Austin retain the title.
Then post match action with Kurt hitting an Olympic Slam on Edge and getting Stunnered by
 Austin.
SMACKDOWN 07-12 - Edge Vs Angle. Austin runs in to interfere but gets hit by Angle and Olympic
Slammed as Christian dropped Edge with the Impaler.
SMACKDOWN 14-12 - The three on one handicap match against The Dudley Boys & Saturn that turned
into a ten on one mugging due to Shane making it no DQ.
**The highlights end with Kurt Angle in a bloodied heep with the Million Dollar Group and the
  others standing around him.**

WWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Falls Count Anywhere
'Sell Out' STEVE AUSTIN Vs. KURT ANGLE
**The main event for the WWF title was next as Kurt Angle took on Steve Austin. Right from the
start you could see that the odds where stacked in the favour of Austin as the Million Dollar
Group (DiBiase, Test, Bull & Faarooq) stayed at ringside.
Kurt Angle came as close as he could to winning the match despite these odds but he was never
able to make the cover due to the constant interference from the MDGroup. Kurt battled
valiently though and took advantage of the no dq factor by taking out Faarooq and Test with
  a steel chair.
But Bull and Austin still beat the hell out of Kurt Angle and bust him open with a spike
piledriver through the American announce table. Austin made the cover on the broken table
for the win but Kurt Angle kicked out!!
Austin was shocked but waited for Kurt to get up before hitting him with the Sell Out Stunner
onto the table wreckage for the win.**
Steve Austin pinned Kurt Angle with the Sell Out Stunner in 0:14:46.
Rating: *** 3/4
