Held in: ASTRODOME
Location: TEXAS, UNITED STATES
Date/Time: Nov 23/00 at 7:30pm
'Cactus Jack' theme starts as Commissioner Foley walks out to a huge ovation, he enters the
ring and pulls a microphone out from his pocket.
MICK - I'm out here for three reasons and they all effect the entire roster in the locker room.
First off, Steve Austin. Last monday, on Raw, you and Ted DiBiase delibratly got DQed by
having Test and Bull Buchanan interfere.
So I'm making another title shot tonight. The match will be a towel match in one corner
will be Ted DiBiase who will be the bearer for Austin. But in the opposite corner will be
Chris Jericho who will be in the corner of.......SHAWN MICHAELS!
The crowd errupts and chants of H.B.K fill the arena, Foley signals for them to settle down.
MICK - Now then secondly, I'm here to confirm that the first match signed for this Sunday's Pay
Per View, Survivor Series will be the first ever inter-gender elimination match. The match
will be between Billy Gunn, Saturn, Venis and Trish Stratus against Eddie Guerrero,
Chyna, Essa Rios and The Kat.
Thirdly and finally, I've signed another match for Survivor Series and it will be Chris
Benoit, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall against Chris Jericho, The Rock and Me!
Now I'll be signing more matches during the night so keep your eyes and ears open.
WWF Tag Team Titles match
STRATUSPHERE (Venis/Saturn) w/t Trish (C.)Vs. LATINO HEAT (Rios/Guerrero) w/t Chyna & Kat
**The first match for the Essa Rios and Eddy Guerrero partnership couldn't have gone better as
they took the fight to WWF Tag champions.
Saturn and Venis were unable to find any real momentum against the fast paced actions of their
smaller foes.
The ending came when Essa Rios hit a springboard hurricanrana from the top rope on Val Venis,
which gave Guerrero the opening to go for the Frog Splash.
But Billy Gunn had managed to sneak to ringside during all of this and as Guerrero prepared to
jump, Mr. Ass shoved him off the top rope and to the outside to cause the Disqualification.
After the match though, Guerrero, Rios and Chyna were able to fight off Venis, Saturn and Gunn
as the Kat chased Trish Stratus to the back.**
Latino Heat defeated StratusPhere when E. Guerrero defeated Venis by disqualification in 0:11:18.
Rating: * 1/2
(StratusPhere retained the WWF Tag Team Championships.)
'The Bulldog' DAVEY BOY SMITH Vs. 'The Dark Angel' VAMPIRO
**Vampiro continued his winning ways with his second win of the week and his WWF career. This
match was more controled by Vampiro then his match against Faarooq was on Raw as he literally
out classed the leader of the 'DOG POUND'.
During the match, Kane and Triple Syxx made their way to ringside and although they didn't get
physically involved, they appeared to have an effect on Vampiro who picked up the pace even
further.
Davey Boy had a very bad night as he was unable to build up any offence on the Dark Angel, the
Bulldog was soon put away by the Nail In The Coffin as he attempted a vertical suplex.**
Vampiro pinned The Bulldog with the Nail In the Coffin in 0:05:22.
Rating: *
After the match Vampiro is joined in the ring by Kane and Syxx
Triple Syxx and Kane back Vampiro into a corner and all three men stand still for a while,
looking eye-to-eye.
Then Kane holds out his gloved hand and Vampiro shakes it as Triple Syxx takes a microphone
from the time keeper.
SYXX - Finally Vampiro has joined the WWF where the real darkside is. You see he has always
been down with the devil but here we can combine to form a group that will truly
represent it. The Brood was destroyed by me and Big Red....now only us three remain. So
our first challenge is going out now to Mick Foley...we want someone to face at Survivor
Series, arrange it!
Syxx hands back the microphone as Vampiro and Kane leave with him to the back.
The cameras go backstage to show Comissioner Foley at his desk watching Kane, Vampiro and Syxx
leaving the ringside area. Then Al Snow walks up to his desk carrying Head.
SNOW - Mick, Mick, I need a favour.....I want to face Test in the ring and get revenge against
that son of a bitch for what he did on Raw.
MICK - Hmmmmm. How about I let you have Test and Bull Buchanan in a tag team match with a
partner of your choice. That way you can get revenge for your loss against Bull as well.
SNOW - Fine by me, so I can select anyone. Thanks Mick.
MICK - Woooohh there Al. You see I just had a thought, you can help me sign another match for
Survivor Series.
MICK - Well I wanted to put Bull, Test, Austin and DiBiase in a traditional Survivor Series
match but the only people I can think to put against them is The Hardy Boys.
SNOW - Ok, where do I come in then?
MICK - I want you and whoever your partner is tonight to team up with Matt and Jeff in that
match to even up the odds.
SNOW - Definatly! I'll do it Mick, if it means I get a chance to beat Test twice in a week then
it's fine by me.....now who can my partner be?
Al Snow walks off looking puzzled as Mick Foley scribbles down the match for the Pay Per View
WWF HaRdCoRe Title Match
'Lethal Weapon' STEVE BLACKMAN (C.) Vs. FAAROOQ
**Faarooq continued to resurrect his singles career after the departure of 'Acolyte' team mate,
Bradshaw from the WWF. He should great form again tonight and seemed to have found his nich
in this HaRdCoRe division as he defeated Steve Blackman for the second title change in the
HaRdCoRe division within a week.
Blackman went to work with his martial arts sticks and other various weapons found under the
ring but it was Faarooq who got the win after a very close match.
Blackman's jumping kick to the chest was dodged by Faarooq, and then the Acolyte grabbed Steve
by the waist and threw him down onto a trash can with a Spinebuster to pick up the victory.**
Faarooq defeated Steve Blackman in a Hardcore Rules Match by pinfall after the Spinebuster in
0:14:21.
Rating: **
(Faarooq won the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
Ken Shamrock enters the ring and stands in front of Faarooq and Blackman.
SHAM - Guys, I was watching in the back and I have to say both of you were great. But it got me
thinking, now Foley promised me that I'd get Team Extreme at Survivor Series if I could
find two people willing to help me. Now I've fought against you Blackman and I know that
you've got just as much fury in you as I have.
Faarooq, for a long while you've been hiding in the shadows of the tag team division but
you're begining to prove you have what it takes. So basically what I'm saying is, how
about for one night, us three team up to take down Tazz and the Dudleys?
Shamrock hands the microphone to Faarooq.
FAAR - I'm always up for a fight and Team Extreme will be great opponents. I'm up for it....what
about you Blackman?
BLCK - This is MY HOUSE and there ain't no ECW rejects going to take over the title of Extreme.
You got it Ken.
SHAM - Great, I'll tell Foley and then we'll hit the gym.
With that, all three men exit the arena to a good reaction from the capacity crowd.
BLOOD BROTHERS (Edge/Christian) Vs. HARDY BOYZ (Matt/Jeff)
**A rematch from Raw IS War saw the same result, the Blood Brothers defeating the Hardyz.
However this time the win was more fair as the ring bell stayed exactly where it should, on
the timekeepers table. Edge and Christian's team work was more then equalled by the Hardyz
in a match that once again brought out the best in both groups.
The ending came after all four men hit the ring which saw Edge knocked down by Matt Hardy's
Twist of Fate. However as Jeff Hardy went for the Swanton Bomb, Christian hit the Impaler on
Matt Hardy.
As Jeff hit the Swanton and made the cover, so did Christian on Matt Hardy....unfortunatly
for the Hardy Boys it was Christian and Matt who wear the legal men so it was their fall that
counted, which Jeff didn't realise until he began cheering after the ref counted the three.
Jeff began arguing with the referee as Lita helped Matt back to his feet and the Blood Bros.
made their escape.**
Blood Brothers defeated The Hardy Boyz when Christian pinned M. Hardy with the
Impaler in 0:09:15.
Rating: ** 1/4
Al Snow is outside the locker room holding Head to his ear.
SNOW - What? I told you, Foley wanted me to find a partner he didn't want me to team with you.
Now I'm going to take a look in here.
Al Snow lowers Head and opens the locker room door to enter, the camera crew follows him. Snow
walks up to Chris Jericho who has his back to him.
SNOW - Hey Jericho, I need your help. I've only got a few minutes to find a tag team partner.
So do you want to team with me against Bull and Test? Do you? Jericho? Hello? Damn it,
if you don't want to just say so.
Al Snow storms off further into the locker room, as he walks out of shot, Chris Jericho turns
around to reveal he had headphones on.
JERI - Did someone say something I was listening so the new Fozzy album? Man this guy Moose
McQueen rocks!
The camera cuts back to Al Snow who taps someone on the shoulder.
SNOW - Hey man, you want to team with me to take on Test and Bull Buchanan?
The man turns around to reveal he is Bull Buchanan.
SNOW - Errrrr....never mind.
Al Snow backs away from Bull who is smirking at him.
SNOW - Damn, I've got to find someone...I'm getting despairate here.
Al Snow spins around and walks right into Viscera.
SNOW - Oof! Hey, maybe you can help me. Na, forget it, I'm not that despairate.
Al Snow then runs away from Big Vis as he swings and misses him.
SNOW - Damn, I'm not going to find anyone to team with. I'll have to go two on one then. I'm
going to get my ass kicked....what's that Head?
Al lifts the Head up to his ear again.
SNOW - Whadda me, that's true. You're supposed to be helping me here....wait! maybe you did!
The action returns to ringside as the Million Dollar theme starts up.
AL SNOW & KURT ANGLE Vs. MILLION DOLLAR TEAM (Bull/Test) w/t DiBiase
**Al Snow shocked a lot of people when he came out with Kurt Angle as his mystery partner. Al
Snow and Kurt Angle worked well as a team but it wasn't enough to prevent Bull Buchanan and
Test from taking control of most of the bout.
Test and Buchanan showed remarkable team work and it appears as though DiBiase has found a
great use for these two big men as a co-exstant unit.
Eventually this combination of the two was enough to cut the ring in half from Angle meaning
that Snow absorbed a huge deal of punishement before being put away with the Pumphandle
Powerslam from his former friend, Test.**
Million Dollar Team (Bull Buchanan and Test) defeated Al Snow and Kurt Angle when Test pinned
Al Snow with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:10:56.
Rating: * 1/4
WWF Intercontinental Title match
TAZZ (C.) Vs. CRASH
**Crash attempted to defeat Tazz in this Intercontiental title match by attacking him from
behind at the start of the match as he came from under the ring as his music hit.
Unfortunatly Tazz somehow spotted Crash and spun around to grab him with a T-Bone Tazplex that
sent Crash across the ring.
Tazz then nailed a Head&Arm Tazplex before putting the dazed former HaRdCoRe champ away with
a beutiful back suplex with bridge for the fast win.**
Tazz pinned Crash after a bridging back suplex in 0:01:43.
Rating: **
(Tazz retained the WWF Intercontinental Title.)
Mick Foley is shown talking with the Rock as they prepare for the upcoming match. As they are
talking the Blood Brothers, Edge & Christian walk up to them.
EDGE - Hey Foley, we've totally got a bone to pick with you.
CHRS - Ya, we were like, looking at the signed matches for Survivor Series and noticed that
you'd left us off the card.
EDGE - I mean what's that about?
MICK - Hey sorry guys, but there's no where to put you. I mean I just signed the last match
between Team Extreme and Shamrock's team. What with the Dogg Pound facing Kane, Syxx and
Vampiro. There's no where to put you.
CHRS - Man this blows. We should be in that pay per view.
EDGE - Come on Foley, there must be somewhere you can put two radicalacious guys like us.
MICK - No guys I....no wait. I do have an idea. You guys want to be a part of the Pay Per View
and you won't care who I put you against or with?
EDGE - No way man, what ever's fine as long as we get to strut our boomtastic abilities.
CHRS - Exactumundo, campadra.
MICK - Very well. Both of you will be put in the Dogg Pound Vs. Kane's team match....but Edge
will be on one side and Christian you will be on the other!
CHRS - What? No this blows more then a 10 dollar hoe on a good night.
EDGE - He's my brother, I don't want to kick his ass.
CHRS - Ya.....wait, kick my ass? What makes you think I won't kick your ass?
EDGE - You're kidding right?
CHRS - No! Tell you what, Mick you got the match.
Christian then turns and leaves the room in a mood.
EDGE - Oh man! You'll pay for this Mick.....you'll pay
Edge runs out of the room after Christian as Foley and the Rock smile at their action.
THE OUTSIDERS (Hall/Nash) Vs. ROCK & SOCK CONNECTION (Rock/Foley)
**The Rock & Sock Connection picked up a huge win going into Survivor Series against two of the
three men they are going to face alongside Kurt Angle.
Scott Hall and Kevin Nash tried every trick in the book to make sure that they were able to
exploit the referee into enabling the double teams. It worked for a long while as the Rock
suffered the wrath of the Outsiders.
However the Outsiders began to get cocky and began working the crowd rather then the Rock,
which eventually enabled the Rock to reverse the Outsider's Edge from Hall into a backslide
for a close two count.
Rock managed to make a tag in the confusion to bring in the Commissioner who went right for
Hall with a double arm DDT. Foley made the cover but was pulled off by Nash who proceeded to
attack Foley with some right hands and a press slam.
Meanwhile the Rock had his hands full with Scott Hall on the other side of the ring as Kevin
Nash set up Foley for the Jacknife Powerbomb.
Foley went up for the Jacknife but in midair he managed to shove Socko into the mouth of Nash
who stumbled around for a while with Foley still up on his shoulders....Nash soon fell to the
mat though as Foley applied the Claw more tightly and soon gave up to the WWF's Commissioner.
The Rock managed to nail the Rock Bottom on Scott Hall to leave him laying next to Nash. This
then led to a post-win celebration as the Rock and Foley went for a People's Elbow at the
same time and simaltaniously hit both Outsiders to the delight of the crowd.**
Mick Foley and Rocky Maivia defeated The Outsiders when Foley made Nash submit to the Sockotm
Claw in 0:21:00.
Rating: 3/4*
Shawn walks into the locker room of The Game. Triple H jumps up from his couch and both men
stand facing each other before embracing in a hug.
HHH - Great to see you again, Shawn, but shouldn't you be getting ready for the towel match
against Austin?
HBK - Ya, I should but Jericho's gone missing! Last anyone saw of him was when Al Snow asked
him to be his tag partner.
HHH - Damn, so what are you here for?
HBK - Well I need a new towel bearer and as much as Foley told me to pick some one else, you
were the man that sprang to mind. Me and you go back a long way, there's no one I trust
more to be in my corner then you.
HHH - Shawn, that means a lot to me. I mean, you don't know who to trust in the WWF anymore.
Now Stephanie stay here, me and Shawn are going out there to kick it Degenerate style one
last time.
SMH - Errrrr..ok, good luck I guess.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels both leave the locker room together but as the door closes Stephanie
pulls out a mobile phone and dials an unseen number.
SMH - Hello, It's Stephanie. Plans going better then we set out....yeah Triple H will be in
Shawn's corner. No no, it was a pleasure doing business with you.
Stephanie hangs up the mobile and grins out of the corner of her mouth as the action returns to
ringside.
WWF Heavyweight Title - Towel match:
'Sell Out' STEVE AUSTIN (DiBiase) Vs. 'Heartbreak Kid' SHAWN MICHAELS (Triple H)
**Sell Out Steve Austin once again retained the belt in a controvesial manner as Ted DiBiase
once again proved EVERYONE has a price.
Shawn Michaels really took it to Steve Austin in this hardly contested fight. But the real
story has to be what happened to Chris Jericho?
Jericho was scheduled by Mick Foley to be Shawn Michaels towel bearer but when he was no where
to be found, Shawn Michaels asked the one man who he could...or at least thought he could
depend on, Triple H.
It was obvious at the end of this match that DiBiase MUST have been behind the disappearence
of Jericho as the ending was obviously a well worked and planned set up.
As Shawn Michaels went to the top rope for a Elbow Drop, Ted DiBiase jumped onto the apron to
distract the referee Earl Hebner. Triple H then jumped up beside Michaels and shoved his leg
leaving him stradling the top buckle.
This gave Austin a chance to recover and he hit a Superplex on Michaels as Earl Hebner turned
around.
Then Triple H threw in Michael's towel! Earl Hebner looked at Triple H for a few seconds in
confusion but rang the bell anyway as per the rules of the contest.
As soon as the bell rang, Triple H and DiBiase both walked upto each other and shaked hands
which caused the crowd to shout in disgust. As DiBiase and Austin left with the title, HHH
entered the ring and nailed HBK with a DDT.**
Steve Austin made Shawn Michaels submit to a superplex in 0:14:35.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Steve Austin retained the WWF Heavyweight Title.)
As Shawn Michaels makes his way back to his feet, Hall and Nash run out from backstage to join
Triple H in the ring.
Michaels looks shocked at first but his expression soon changes to pain as Chris Benoit nails
him from behind with a steel chair.
Meanwhile Ted DiBiase and Steve Austin leave with the belt and both men laugh as it's now
apparent that this was yet another set up by the Million Dollar Team.
However just as DiBiase goes to leave, Foley & the Rock come storming out from behind the
curtains followed by Kurt Angle.
Kurt Angle goes right for Steve Austin as Foley and Rock carry on to the ring. Before the Rock
and Foley get to the ring though, Benoit and the others spot them and dive out the other side of
the ring and into the crowd.
Foley grabs a microphone as The Rock and Kurt Angle help up Shawn Michaels.
MICK - I knew there was something screwy going on when DiBiase excepted this match without much
fuss. Well Triple H, now you've made your attentions known about where you stand with the
Outkasts, I guess I better change the match at Survivor Series. So lets add Triple H to
their side and if it's all right with you Shawn, I'm going to add you to our team.
SHAW - Damn right I'll join you. Hunter, I don't know why you or Hall & Nash are attacking me.
I had no beef with you before but now I have and so help me, the Heartbreak Kid is going
to stop you.
