**Time To Play The Game hits as the show starts. The crowd begin booing as Stephanie McMahon
-Helmsley walks out followed by Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The three of them walk into the
ring where Stephanie is handed a mic.**
STEP - I'm out here because of the actions of my so-called father, on Monday Night.
How dare he come out and talk down to me and Shane. Well I know Shane's just as furious
as I am so, Daddy dear. I'm calling you out.
**No Chance In Hell plays as Vince McMahon comes out to a good reception. He stands at the top
of the ramp for a while waiting for the crowd to die down.**
VINC - Stephanie, you may be my daughter, but my god you've got a mouth on you the size of the
Grand Canyon. What's with the shouting.
STEP - How dare you! You took away the commissionership from the Sandman, so I can't get a match
signed tonight, so I'll do it the old fashioned way. A challenge, daddy.
I'll put Triple H and Shawn Michaels in one corner and you select any one from the back
and we'll have a little tag team action tonight.
VINC - Fine, you want to do this, I accept your challenge. BUT only because I have had two men
waiting in the wings to help me take down both you and Shane McMahon.
I was saving them for SummerSlam but what the hell I'm going to let them run loose
tonight. RIGHT HERE IN CANADA!
MATT HARDY w/t Lita & Jeff Vs. THE GODFATHER w/t D'Lo & K-Krush
The Nation were out in force for this opening exchange between the Godfather and Matt Hardy.
Hardy used speed against the Godfather for a lot of the match, which began to annoy Godfather
quite a bit. Suddenly without warning, D'Lo and K-Krush attacked Lita & Jeff Hardy on the
outside of the ring.
Godfather then picked up a chair on the outside and returned to nail Matt across the head with
it. The crowd began booing as the Nation went to work on the Hardys but soon began cheering
as the Rock came running out for the save.
The Nation escaped through the crowd as the Rock helped up the Hardys and Lita.
Matt Hardy defeated The Godfather by disqualification in 0:07:43.

WWF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
"THE 1" BILLY GUNN (C.) w/t Chyna Vs. ESSA RIOS w/t Eddie Guerrero
A rematch from RAW which once again saw Billy Gunn pulling out all the stops he could to walk
out with the belt around his waist again.
Chyna and Eddie Guerrero once again got physically involved in the contest, which ended up with
the two of them brawling on the outside of the ring. Gunn and Rios also spilled out to the
floor and soon all four where slugging it out with Chyna & Gunn seeming to have the upper
hand.
The referee attempted to get them back in the ring but eventually gave up and called for a
double countout.
Essa Rios and Billy Gunn battled to a double countout in 0:12:57.

**As Billy Gunn and Chyna back up the ramp, Eddie Guerrero goes outside and gets a mic.**
EDDY - Wooh, hold up there Rock-A-Billy B!tchcakes. You're not taking the cheap way out
again, me and Essa have a proposition for you. Why not have one more tag match between
us and put that European Title on the line!
If I pin you, I'm the new champ. If Essa pins you, he's the new champ.
GUNN - You got to be joking me......Fine, a tag team match at Summerslam with the European Title
on the line. Don't you worry about winning this title because it's guarenteed that I'll
win the match, get the pin and walk out with the belt around my waist!
CHYN - HEY! What do you mean gaurenteed, if I get the pin then I'll be the champion.
GUNN - Hur, no wait, that's not what I meant.
CHYN - Well what did you mean then? If I get a chance to win that title, I'm going to take it.
GUNN - Chyna, that's not what I meant....come on, calm down, we'll win the tag match together.
CHYN - The hell we will. I'm not taking part in a tag match with you. But I do want a shot at
that title. So lets make it a fatal fourway match.
How'd ya like them apples, B!tchcakes.
**Chyna drops the microphone and walks backstage as Gunn looks stunned. In the ring Eddie and
Essa laugh for a while until they realise that they'll have to fight each other as well.
They turn to face each other but neither say a word as they make the way backstage.**
A short match but a long brawl. Al Snow came out for the match but as he was walking down the
aisle, the Sandman attacked him from behind with the Singapore Cane, busting him open instantly.
Sandman then beat Al Snow down and dragged him to the ring, throwing him against the barricades
on the way.
Eventually they got into the ring and the referee called for the bell after being threaten with
a caning himself. Al Snow kicked out of the Sandman's first DDT pinfall attempt which caused
the Sandman to pull Snow up and deliver a second DDT and this time Al stayed down.
The Sandman pinned Al Snow with the DDT in 0:01:45.

**The Sandman continues his attack on Al Snow as the crowd begin booing him. Snow tries to
cover up but gets nailed with the Singapore Cane to the head several times.
Suddenly, Cactus Jack runs out from backstage armed with his barbed wire 2x4. He slides into
the ring and nails the Sandman in the mid-section with it.
As the Sandman rolls out to re-group, Tazz comes out as well. Tazz dives into the ring and
goes for Cactus Jack but he gets the 2x4 across the back and Tazz goes outside to The Sandman.
Tazz & Sandman talk to each other and motion to get in but they stop as "NO CHANCE IN HELL"
comes on the arena system. Vince walks out!!**
VINC - What the hell are you all doing. You want to tear each other apart with weapons, fine.
Summerslam, we'll have a four way match and let's bring the Hardcore Title out of
retirement as well.
Now Sandman get out of here and let Snow get some medical treatment, I've fired you as
Commissioner already this week, don't make me fire you from the roster as well.
THE ROCK & JEFF HARDY w/t Matt & Lita Vs. D'LO BROWN & K-KRUSH w/t Godfather
A match signed just moments earlier by Vince McMahon, due to the actions at the start of the
show.
The action was a great way for the Rock to get some pay back for the constant attacks by the
Nation. D'Lo and K-Krush looked decidedly shakey at the Rock's new aggression along with the
suicidal moves from Jeff Hardy.
But the Nation had another trick up their sleave. After the Rock hit D'Lo with a Floatover
DDT, D'Lo Brown began holding his knee signaling something was wrong.
The referee stupidly went to check on him as the Godfather snuck into the ring. Godfather
spun the Rock around and hit him with the Pimp Drop as K-Krush went up top for the finish.
But Jeff Hardy was prepared and ran up to the buckle and suplexed him off, leaving both men
down.
The Rock got back up from the Pimp Drop but D'Lo made a "miraculous" recovery and hit him with
the Sky High before he could fully recover.
Nation of Domination (D'Lo Brown and K-Krush) defeated Jeff Hardy and The Rock when D'Lo pinned
Rock after the Sky High in 0:14:40.

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
KURT ANGLE (C.) Vs. CHRIS JERICHO Vs. MIKE AWESOME
Mike Awesome, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle were up next in this triple threat match for the
IC title. Right from the get go, it was obvious that Kurt was going to have problems walking
out with the belt, as Mike Awesome and Chris Jericho both targetted him in the early goings.
The ending came after Mike Awesome was given the Olympic Slam by Kurt Angle, but before Kurt
could cover, Jericho came off the top with a missle dropkick that sent the champion to the
outside. Jericho then hit the springboard Lionsault on Mike Awesome for the win.
After the match, Kurt looked upset at the outcome of the match but still left Chris Jericho,
alone in the ring to celebrate.
Chris Jericho defeated Kurt Angle and Mike Awesome when Chris Jericho pinned Awesome after an
Asai Moonsault in 0:25:11.

**As Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley stand in the ring, the crowd begin
chants for Vince McMahon as they wait. The wait soon ends as NO CHANCE IN HELL plays and the
WWF Chairman walks out.**
VINC - So you're already here, well good because I'm ready and so are the two men I picked.
I should warn you though that these two men are the last two you'd think of.
But let's see if you can guess who it is Shawn. You see in the last few years, I've been
regreting a decision I made.
A decision I made nearly four years ago....a decision, that kept you in the WWF.
That's right, I'm talking about Montreal '97, I'm talking about the BEST there IS, the
BEST there WAS and the BEST there ever WILL BE!
**The crowd go crazy as the Hitman's theme hits and he walks out to stand by the side of Vince
McMahon. Michael's looks stunned but Vince just continues to smile.**
VINC - Now I should mention that I've signed two matches for SummerSlam. Shawn Michaels will
face Bret "Hitman" Hart. But you Triple H, you're in for another singles match which
I'll get back to later.
You see Shawn, going back to Montreal '97. You were the one that forced me to pick
between you and Bret Hart. You knew the WWF was in danger and had to drop one of you
two. You knew I had to pick you because of your age but I should have picked Bret
because your damn ego is out of control.
I've apologised to Bret, and ever since the 'other' company screwed him out of their
federation, we've been planning his return.
But that's enough about Shawn and Bret. It's time for you Triple H. Now let's see, I
already have Bret by my side....so errrrrrrr......Who's Next?
**GOLDBERG runs out from behind the curtains and charges the ring with Bret Hart alongside
him. They both slide into the ring and the match starts.**
BILL GOLDBERG & BRET "HITMAN" HART w/t Vince McMahon
Vs.
SHAWN MICHAELS & TRIPLE H w/t Stephanie
Main event time and the crowd were on their feet for this one as the Goldberg teamed up with
the legendary Bill Goldberg. The crowd as well as the opponents were shoked at first when
Vince McMahon brought them out as an allience between Bret & Vince seemed un-thought of.
But never the less, Triple H and Shawn did put up a hell of a fight against the two men. It
came close at the end after a Shawn Michael's Superkick was just marginally ducked by Bret Hart,
and then HBK was speared by Goldberg. Triple H then took a spear followed by the Jackhammer
giving Bret Hart, Goldberg and more importantly Vince McMahon, an important win.
Bill Goldberg and Bret Hart defeated Shawn Michaels and Triple H when Goldberg defeated
Helmsley via the Jackhammer in 0:24:19.
