**Million Dollar Theme plays as Ted DiBiase walks out followed by Steve Austin, they enter the
ring.**
3:16 - Well, well, well looks like WRESTLEMANIA is going to be easier then we thought. I know
I can beat Kane and the Rock by myself.
Benoit after RAW, I can see now that I've no use for an allience with you anymore.
You'll not be of any use to me at WRESTLEMANIA or any night.
So tonight, my good friend, Shane McMahon has signed another tag team match.
It'll be me and the Big Red Retard taking on The Rock and Chris Benoit.
I'll come out on top just as I will do on Sunday and that's the BOTTOM LINE 'CAUSE STONE
COLD SAID SO.
VAL VENIS w/t Edge/Trish Vs. MATT HARDY w/t Jeff/Lita
Opening match saw one half of the T'n'T and the Hardy Boys face each other in preperation for
their fight at WRESTLEMANIA X-7.
A brawl on the outside between Edge and Jeff as well as another from Lita and Trish distracted
the referee and Matt Hardy.
Matt turned back to face Venis and got a boot in the gut. Val went for the Fisherman Suplex
but Matt managed to escape and turned it into the Twist of Fate.
Matt Hardy pinned Val Venis with the Twist of Fate in 0:11:32.
Rating: ** 3/4
TAZZ/GUERRERO w/t Chyna Vs. SHAMROCK/RAZOR
Another WRESTLEMANIA preview of sorts as the Intercontinental and European matches combined to
form these two teams.
The no#1 contender team of Guerrero and Tazz where able to pick up the victory after another
frenzy of action. Shamrock had the Ankle Lock on Tazz but Guerrero broke it up with the Frog
Splash. But Razor then threw Eddie Guerrero outside, only for Tazz to grab him from behind
and apply the Tazmission to the Euro Champ.
Razor Ramon soon passed out to the Tazmission as Shamrock dived to break the count just a
split second too late.
Eddie Guerrero and Tazz defeated Ken Shamrock and Razor Ramon when Tazz made Ramon submit to
the Tazmission in 0:18:12.
Rating: *** 3/4
CHRIS JERICHO Vs. BULL BUCHANAN
Jericho came out ready for this match against Bull and completely controled the match despite
Bull's size and weight advantage.
Chris Jericho had Bull beaten within five minutes and went for the Springboard Asai Moonsault.
But he hadn't seen Sabu sneak down to ringside. Sabu was crouching down and as Jericho went
off the ropes, Sabu jumped up and hit him in mid Moonsault with the chair causing the DQ.
Chris Jericho defeated Bull Buchanan by disqualification in 0:05:32.
Rating: *
**Sabu enters the ring and tries to hit Jericho with the chair once more, but Y2J ducks and
delivers two shots to the kidneys of Sabu as he follows through with the swing.
Jericho then sweeps the legs of Sabu away and puts him in Walls of Jericho. Y2J screams out
in fury as he keeps Sabu in the hold despite attempts by referee, Tim White to break the
hold.
Eventually Jericho does break the hold and he stands over Sabu shouting at him.**
CJER - Sabu, you want to attack me with weapons well at WRESTLEMANIA, it'll be me and going at
each other in a HARDCORE MATCH!
I'll see how Extreme you are and you WILL find out that I can be just as extreme after
you are STOPPED AND DROPPED BY THE WALLS OF JERICHO!!
INTERGENDER TAG MATCH
JEFF HARDY & LITA Vs. EDGE & TRISH STRATUS
Inter-gender action next as these two groups continued their rivalry up to WRESTLEMANIA X-7.
The match belonged to Jeff and Lita as they where much faster then Edge and Trish. Unfortunatly
it was the appearance of the other two T'n'T members that cost them the fight.
Terri appeared at ringside and tried to get in the ring, this drew the referee over and then
Val Venis came out.
Edge came in the ring to hit the Downward Spiral on Lita and then Venis hit the Money Shot on
her before rolling Trish on top of Lita. Jeff tried to get in but was speared by Edge.
After the match, Jeff Hardy was given the Money Spiral as well before Matt Hardy came down with
a chair and cleaned the ring.
Edge and Trish Stratus defeated Jeff Hardy and Lita when Trish pinned Lita in 0:07:15.
Rating: **
KURT ANGLE Vs. THE SANDMAN
Sandman continued his winning streak today but once more had to resort to his trusty Singapore
Cane to get it.
Kurt Angle and Sandman were evenly matched but it was Sandman who had the slight edge as Kurt
appeared somewhat distracted in the bout.
It soon became apparent what Kurt was being distracted by after Triple H's music played. Kurt
Angle stopped what he was doing and looked around the arena. This gave Sandman the opening he
needed and he grabbed the Cane from the corner and struck Angle in the back of the head.
The Sandman dropped Kurt Angle and made the cover. Earl Hebner, who had also been looking for
Triple H, turned and made the count.
The Sandman pinned Kurt Angle with the DDT in 0:12:20.
Rating: ** 1/2
**Sandman begins to Cane, Kurt Angle repeatedly as the crowd begin booing him, but that soon
turns to chears when Al Snow runs down armed with a chair and chases Sandman out the ring.
Sandman gets halfway up the ramp before Al Snow grabs a microphone.**
SNOW - Sandman, you seem to be pretty handy with that Singapore Cane so how about you get in
the ring at WRESTLEMANIA in a Singapore Cane match.
SAND - You got it, I'll beat your ass out of the WWF.
SNOW - Well what ever turns you on I guess, but I don't recall saying I'd be your opponent...
....no I'd like you to meet your opponent now.
**The crowd errupts as 'Wreck' plays and CACTUS JACK comes out. Sandman looks slightly shocked
but maintains his position.**
JACK - Yes, Sandman it's me! You put Mick Foley in the hospital twice, but let's see how you
fair against ME!
SAND - On one condition, if I win then you retire as Commissioner and give that power to me!
JACK - OK, you get it but only if you leave the WWF should you lose!
SAND - I'll take that chance, when it comes to Singapore Canes...no one can beat me.
KANE & AUSTIN Vs. ROCK & BENOIT
The last match of the night saw the four main-eventers for WRESTLEMANIA X7 meet in the ring
again, but this time the teams where mixed up slightly after Austin badmouthed Benoit earlier
in the show.
Kane hit the Chokeslam from Hell on Benoit but before he could make the cover, the Rock grabbed
him by the hair and took him over the top rope. Austin then kicked Chris Benoit to the outside
which left Austin and Rock in the ring.
They began slugging it out with each other and Austin went for the Stunner. But Rock pushed
him off and into the ropes, Austin came off the ropes into the Spinbuster from the Rock.
Off came the elbow pad and Maivia bounced off the ropes to deliver the Most Electrifing Move
in Sports Entertainment to the heart of the Rattlesnake.
The Rock made the pin as Kane re-entered the ring by stepping over the ropes. Kane made no
attempt at breaking up the pinfall and the Rock got the three giving him an important win
going into the Pay Per View.
Chris Benoit and The Rock defeated Kane and Steve Austin when Rock pinned S. Austin after the
People's Elbow in 0:18:04.
Rating: *** 1/2
**As the Rock gets up from the pin, Kane moves in and grabs him by the throat. Kane delivers
the Chokeslam from Hell to the Rock and gets huge heat from the crowd.
Meanwhile Austin has gotten back to his feet and moves up behind Benoit on the outside.
Austin spins Benoit around and drills him with the Sell Out Stunner.
But Austin fails to see Kane, who has come outside. Austin turns around and gets grabbed by
Kane's big hand.
Kane lifts up Austin in the Chokeslam from Hell and then drives him through the announce
table with it to get cheers again!
We close with Kane returning into the middle of the ring to set off the fire pyros as Rock,
Austin and Benoit are all down.**
