**We open with highlights from the last week. Starting with Austin getting no#1 contendership
back from Chris Benoit due to a sub-clause. We then see Kane pinning Austin later on that
night.**
**We cut to live action as "Mankind Wreck" plays as Commissioner Foley comes out to a large
ovation.**
MICK - In the last few weeks since NO WAY OUT, we have all seen Ted DiBiase manage to pull as
many strings as he can to get the no#1 contendership back in the hands of Steve Austin.
Well it appears as though he finally suceeded and there's nothing I can do about it.
I can't take Austin out of the match. BUT what I can do is sign a match tonight in this
very ring between the two.
Before you get exicted though it's not a one-on-one match.
No, in one corner will be Chris Benoit and Steve Austin in tag team action against the
Rock and Kane.
The last few weeks seems to have revolved around these four men, so I see it fitting that
they sort it out tonight and THAT'S FINAL!
KURT ANGLE Vs. BUH BUH RAY DUDLEY
The show opened as Kurt Angle took on Buh Buh in singles action. Kurt seemed more into this
match as he has been in past weeks, possibly do to him not needing to look over his shoulder
for 24/7 combatents.
But maybe he should have been looking over his shoulder because after the referee, Mike Keaota
got knocked down by a Buh Buh splash, Triple H came out armed with his Sledgehammer. Triple H
entered the ring and nailed Kurt in the back with it causing him to fall forward into a Buh
Buh Cutter. Dudley made the cover as Keaota slowly crawled over for the count.
Buh Buh Ray Dudley pinned Kurt Angle after a Buh Buh Cutter in 0:07:41.
Rating: ** 1/2
**Triple H enters the ring and moves towards Kurt Angle with the Sledgehammer again. Kurt has
been backed up into a corner until "Mankind Wreck" plays and Commissioner Foley comes out.**
MICK - STOP THIS NOW! Ok, Triple H, Kurt Angle. You two want to kill each other that's good,
that's healthy but I don't want you killing each other tonight.
**Triple H walks up to the end of the ring to hear what Foley has to say. Kurt stands in the
centre of the ring as Foley speaks again.**
MICK - If you want each other in the ring that badly then I'll sign a match at WRESTLEMANIA
between the two of you! As a matter of fact, lets make it a 60 minute IRON MAN MATCH!
**The crowd go nuts as Triple H shouts an obcenity towardss the Commissioner, Kurt Angle just
stands in open mouthed shock.**
MICK - Now I'm going backstage to have a word with Earl Hebner and the rest of the referees to
tell them who'll be there to officiate the match.
BUT I suggest that you two stay apart from each other outside of a sanctioned match.
So Triple H, put that damn sledgehammer down and leave......
**Triple H stares at Mick Foley and then back at Kurt Angle. He goes to put the hammer down but
at the last second brings the hammer back up and nails Kurt in the midsection.
This doubles up Kurt and HHH throws the Sledgehammer down and gives the Pedigree to Angle.**
MICK - Damnnit Helmsley. Right that does it, I'm going back there and make a few calls, I'm
going to get a damn guest referee that can keep you in check during that match.
GAME - You try it Mick, but whoever it is will end up like Angle over here.
MICK - Oh I already have someone in mind, SHAWN MICHAELS AND THAT'S FINAL!
CHRIS JERICHO Vs. DYNAMITE
What a match by these two. Dynamite and Jericho haven't met many times before but they have
a similar past and wrestling style. Both were trained by the Hart Dungeon and both have spent
time in Japan improving themselves.
Dynamite and Jericho went back and forth with both men able to counter and re-counter a lot of
the moves. The ending was as fast paced as the rest of the match, Jericho went up top for a
Corkscrew Moonsault but Dynamite rolled away and went up for the Headbutt. But this time Y2J
moved out of the way and Dynamite hit the canvas.
Jericho then applied the Walls of Jericho submission hold onto Dynamite who held on for almost
a minute before tapping out.
After the match, Jericho shook Dynamite's hand as the crowd cheered at the efforts from both
men tonight.
Chris Jericho made Dynamite submit to the The Walls Of Jericho in 0:11:19.
Rating: *** 3/4
WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
DOOM (C.) Vs. HARDY BOYZ
The Hardy Boyz came within seconds of winning the Tag Team Championships again but it was not
their night.
Matt Hardy had hit Wrath with the Twist of Fate and Jeff went up top for the Swanton Bomb. But
Val Venis came out of the crowd and slid in the ring, Tim White tried to get Val Venis outside
but the Big Valbowski wouldn't move.
Then EDGE came from the other side of the ring and pushed Jeff off the top rope. Crush set up
Jeff for a Piledriver and Edge climbed the top rope.
Crush and Edge were able to Spike Piledrive Jeff Hardy and Crush made the pin as Venis and Edge
took the oppotunity to work over Matt Hardy on the outside.
Doom defeated The Hardy Boyz when Crush pinned J. Hardy after a piledriver in 0:10:14.
Rating: **
(Doom retained the WWF Tag Team Champions.)
**The attack on the Hardys continues from Val Venis and Edge as we see Trish Stratus and Terri
come out together!!!
Jeff is given the Downward Spiral followed by a Money Shot as Trish & Terri enter the ring
looking pleased.
Terri walks over to Edge as Trish joins Val Venis. All four people walk to the center of the
ring as Trish speaks.**
TRSH - Yes, I'm back with Val Venis. You've all got to be wondering what I'm doing with him,
well I have my reasons for re-joining Venis.
TERR - But you see the real reason for me and Trish being out here is because we realised that
behind every great wrestler is a great woman.
TRSH - So for a sucessful tag team, why not have two great women.
VALV - You gotta love two women working together.
EDGE - Totally.
TERR - Anyway, Edge was out of contract with the M.D.Group and Val was alone after that cross
eyed Saturn turned on him.
TRSH - So we decided that these two are the team for us. Between them they have held the tag
team titles on numerous occasions.
TERR - Indeed, Trish and Terri Enterprises or T'n'T has been born tonight and the tag team
titles are just a short step away.
TRSH - We proved it just now, we destroyed the Hardy Boys and we'll prove it at WRESTLEMANIA.
Hardy Boys, you will take on our boys and you WILL lose.
BILLY GUNN Vs. EDDIE GUERRERO
Another highly exciting match as once again, Billy Gunn shows only improvement since being
dumped by ex-fiancee/manager, Trish Stratus.
But it was Eddie Guerrero who picked up the win after Gunn went for a Fame-Ass-Er from the
middle rope. Guerrero was able to move backwards and Billy missed the move. Eddie then picked
up Mr. Ass and dropped him again with the Brainbuster before going up top for the Frog Splash.
Eddie Guerrero pinned Billy Gunn with the Frog Splash in 0:14:25.
Rating: ***
WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
KEN SHAMROCK (C.) Vs. TAZZ
An above average match between these two men who have constantly fought each other over the
Intercontinental Championship.
The match was progressing quite well until Tazz made the same mistake as Perry Saturn did not
that long ago.
Tazz charged at Ken Shamrock and fell victim to a drop toe hold into the Ankle Lock Submission.
However unlike Saturn, Tazz was fairly close to the ropes and after nearly 30 seconds in the
hold he got hold of them to break the submission.
But then Sabu ran down the aisle armed with a chair. The homacidle Sabu entered the ring and
nailed Ken Shamrock in the head which led to the disqualification.
Ken Shamrock defeated Tazz by disqualification in 0:09:16.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Ken Shamrock retained the WWF Intercontinental Title.)
**Sabu continues the attack on Ken Shamrock as Tazz looks on. Tazz then goes over to Sabu and
pulls him off of Ken Shamrock.
Sabu and Tazz stand toe-to-toe until Tazz nails Sabu with a T-Bone Tazplex.
The Orange and Black Attack then snatches a microphone.**
TAZZ - Sabu, I told you time and time again, stop interfering when you're not needed. You cost
me several matches in the past and now you cost me the damn Intercontinental Title.
Well I don't need this bull$hit anymore, D-Von's out injured and Buh Buh Ray's going his
own way so that's it.
I'm disbanding Team Extreme!
Sabu, you have nothing to do with me anymore. I should never have formed this damn group,
I'm TAZZ, I don't need any body.
**Tazz drops the microphone as 'If You Dare' plays. Tazz leaves the ring as Ken Shamrock looks
in his direction. Sabu is getting back up and appears unsure what to do.**
THE ROCK & KANE Vs. BENOIT & AUSTIN
Four of the top WWF stars met in this tag team encounter that Mick Foley signed at the start
of the show. It was a fairly good tag match as Kane and Rock worked well together but Austin
and Benoit were working more solidly as a unit.
Kane/Rock almost got the win though after the Chokeslam from Hell on Steve Austin by Kane. The
Rock then tried to go for the People's Elbow but as he bounced off the second rope, Benoit had
snuck into the ring. Rock turned as he bounced off the ropes and ran right into Benoit and
the Crippler Crossface.
Benoit had the move on the Rock but Kane kicked him off and went for another Chokeslam, this
time on the Crippler. But Austin was back up and gave a low boot to Kane. Austin then took
himself and Kane to the outside with a running shoulder block.
Benoit turned around to face the Rock, only for the People's Champ to grab him for the Rock
Bottom. In the blink of an eye, Benoit was able to reverse it into another Crippler Crossface
which was perfectly in the center of the ring.
Rock tried to hold on as long as he could but with Kane tied up with Austin on the outside, he
had to tap out.
Chris Benoit and Steve Austin defeated The Rock and Kane when Benoit made Rock submit to the
Crippler Crossface in 0:12:49.
Rating: ** 3/4
**'Crippler' theme is stopped and replaced by 'Mankind Wreck' as Commissioner Foley walks out
once more.
In the ring, Benoit still has the Crossface on the Rock as Kane and Austin continue to battle
on the outside.**
MICK - STOP IT NOW! I've got an important announcement to make about WRESTLE MANIA.
**Benoit breaks the hold on the Rock, also Kane and Austin seperate and stand either side of the
announce table.**
MICK - Good, now I've been looking at the tapes of the last few weeks again because I'm still
not happy with Austin going into WRESTLEMANIA after losing to Kane twice this month.
And now Chris Benoit has caused the Champion, Rock to tap out in a tag team match.
I don't think I can seperate you any more, you're all good enough to be champion.
SO I've just signed the main event for WRESTLEMANIA. Rock will take on Austin as planned
.....But Kane and Benoit will be in the match as well.
YES a Fatal Fourway Elimination match for the WWF Championship WILL take place on April
the 1st.
No more negotiating from Ted DiBiase or anyone else, this match is .... ....FINAL!
**The crowd cheers as Foley's theme plays again. The crowd errupts even louder when Benoit
turns around into a Rock Bottom from the recovered Champion.
This begins the fight on the outside again as Austin and Kane begin a slug fest.
We go off the air as the Rock and Benoit lay exhausted in the ring, Kane and Austin are still
fighting outside and Mick Foley is signalling for officals to break it up.**
