**As the show opens we cut to a backstage camera in the Million Dollar Group's locker room.**
$TED - OK then, we are just over a week away from the ROYAL RUMBLE, so tonight has to be the
night we put another plan into action. Me and a few of my president friends, have had a
word with Shane McMahon and he's agreed to sign the matches I wanted with Kurt Angle and
       the Rock later tonight.
3:16 - Oh hell yeah! So what are the matches then?
$TED - First off, Kurt Angle will face Billy Gunn, Venis and Saturn in a three on one handicap
       match.
3:16 - I love that idea. So what you got planned for Rock? Another three on one handicap?
$TED - Nope. A four on one handicap elimination match!!
3:16 - FOUR, great. SO who's against the Rock then? As if I can't already guess.
$TED - Well, the Rock is going to be tougher then Kurt Angle so, I'm not going outside the Group
to find someone. So it will be Dynamite, Bull, Test and Edge!
3:16 - And what about me? Do I have anything planned?
$TED - Nope, you've got the night off. So get plenty of rest because I'm sure that the Rock and
Kurt Angle will be determained at the RUMBLE.....that is if they make it!

CRASH Vs. SCOTT HALL
Scott Hall opened the show again as he toook on Crash in a fairly good match. Crash's size
didn't help as Scott Hall took great plesure in taking him down time and time again with power
moves.
Despite hitting the OutKast Edge on Crash afer five minutes, Hall didn't go for the pin. Hall,
instead decided to get a submission win by clamping Crash in an abdominal stretch which the
'Houdini of Hardcore' had to tap out of.
Scott Hall made Crash submit to an abdominal stretch in 0:07:21.

WWF LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
K-KWIK (C) Vs. CHRISTIAN
The first title defence for K-Kwik since winning the WWF Lightweight title last week, as he
took on a former Lightweight champion, Christian.
It was a superb match as these two youngsters took each other down with some impressive moves,
but it would have been more impressive if it hadn't been for Dynamite and Edge of the MDGroup.
Dynamite came out first and distracted the official after Christian had been put down by a
Springboard frankensteiner from K-Kwik. K-Kwik went over to get Dynamite out of the ringside
area but Edge snuck in the other side and hit Christian with the Edge-A-Matic as he got to his
feet.
Dynamite then left seconds after and K-Kwik and the ref turned around and carried on as normal,
K-Kwik didn't seem to notice Christian had been down for a long while from a simple springboard
frankensteiner and went up top for the 450 spalash for the win.
K-Kwik pinned Christian with the 450 Splash in 0:07:51.
Rating: *** 1/2
(K-Kwik retained the WWF Lightweight Title.)

**As K-Kwik goes outside to get his Lightweight title belt, Edge sneaks back into the ring with
a chair and nails Christian in the head with it as he gets to his feet. K-Kwik sees this
attack and dives into the ring behind Edge.
Edge turns around into the Kwik-Kutter (Ace Crusher). Edge rolls to the outside before K-Kwik
can fully execute it and backs up the ramp whilst talking trash to the rookie sensation.
Meanwhile Christian has been helped back to his feet by K-Kwik to reveal that his head has
been busted wide open. Christian is helped out the ring and to the backstage area by K-Kwik
where EMT's rush out to help him.**

CHRIS 'Y2J' JERICHO Vs. HaRdCoRe Champ SABU
Match of the night, that saw Jericho defend the WWF against invading ECW group, Team Extreme's
newest member and HaRdCoRe champ Sabu.
It was an awesome match despite the different backgrounds of both men and Jericho's abilities
seemed to have more of a variation then Sabu's.
But Sabu did have something that Jericho hadn't and that was back up. Tazz was able to slip
brass knuckles to Sabu allowing the Human Highlight to knock Y2J down with a right hand before
the ref could spot it.
The cover was made and Sabu was booed out of the building as Tazz joined him in the ring in a
mock celebration pose.
Sabu pinned Chris Jericho after hitting him with brass knuckles in 0:15:24.

OUTKASTS (HHH/Nash) Vs. SHOOTERS
Shooters faced The OutKasts in this match and where a completely different team then they were
two weeks ago. Blackman was constantly watching Shamrock's actions as he obviously still
suspects Ken Shamrock of selling out to Ted DiBiase.
HHH and Nash were able to work over Steve Blackman once he was tagged in, because the Lethal
Weapon refused to tag out. Eventually Shamrock did come back in the ring after seeing HHH and
Nash double team Blackman constantly.
The referee tried to get Ken Shamrock outside and of course this allowed the third illegal
action of the night. As Blackman went to work on HHH in the corner, Kevin Nash ran in and hit
him in the back of the head with the steel chair sending Blackman to the outside.
Steve Blackman was busted open in the back of the head and wasn't moving much, this then let
the OutKasts pick up the win when he didn't get in before the 10 count.
The Outkasts (Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Kevin Nash) defeated Shooters when
Nash defeated Blackman by countout in 0:07:10.
Rating: -1/2*

*After the match, Nash and HHH go for Shamrock but he manages to avoid them and he grabs the
steel chair used earlier by the OutKasts. Shamrock backs up to his corner as Steve Blackman
begins to come round on the outside.
Blackman looks up and sees Shamrock holding the chair and enters the ring. He spins Shamrock
round and begins shouting at him.*
BLAC - You have sold out! You told me that you hadn't! With that shit on RAW when I heard
DiBiase's phone call.....Now this. You sold out didn't you... .....DIDN'T YOU!
SHAM - No, I didn't I gave you my word.
BLAC - Yeah, what's with the chair then? The hell with this I'm out of here.
*Blackman turns his back to leave but Nash shoves Shamrock from behind and Ken Shamrock goes
into Blackman, knocking the Lethal Weapon to the outside. Nash and HHH begin laughing away as
they leave the ring. Meanwhile Blackman comes back in the ring and again accusses Shamrock of
attacking him. They begin shoving each other.*
BLAC - You b@stard, hit me when my back was turned.
SHAM - I didn't, it was Nas....
BLAC - BULL$HIT! You sold out and I don't want nothing to do with yo....
*Steve Blackman is stopped mid sentence as Shamrock attacks him with punches and the steel chair.
Shamrock then stares at Blackman who is out on the mat, then he leaves the ring to a chorus of
 boos.*

HARDCORE STYLE MATCH
AL SNOW Vs. TAZZ
Al Snow took on Tazz in a brutal hardcore contest that caused Al Snow to lose a lot of blood
after Tazz hit him with a barbed wire reel.
Tazz was the more sadistic of the two men as he used every weapon he could find in the backstage
area time and time again. Snow appeared to be cut from every part of his body after ten mins,
but Tazz was still attacking Snow like a rabid animal.
The ending came after Tazz put Al Snow through a table with a Northern Lights Tazplex.
Tazz pinned Al Snow after a Northern Lights Tazplex in 0:14:03.
Rating: **

THREE ON ONE HANDICAP
STRAT-ASS (Gunn/Saturn/Venis) Vs. KURT ANGLE
Nothing more then a punishment match signed by Shane McMahon earlier. Kurt Angle was unable to
put up much fight in this match as it was little more then a mugging.
Kurt tried to keep as much dignity as possible though after he kicked out of a DVD by Saturn
and then later the Fame-Ass-Er from Billy Gunn. But it was obvious that was all Kurt Angle
would be able to do tonight and after a double powerbomb from Gunn & Saturn then the Money Shot
by Venis, Kurt was a beaten man.
Strat-Ass (Billy Gunn, Saturn and Val Venis) defeated Kurt Angle when Venis
pinned Angle after the Money Shot in 0:06:38.
Rating: **

**'Mankind Wreck' plays as Mick Foley comes out with a microphone.**
MICK - I've just got here tonight, despite it being a day off because I say the actions earlier
tonight of Ted DiBiase's MDGroup. It's too late to change the Rock's match now and
Kurt's had his so all I can do is make it fair and sign a match involving Austin.
Now this match will be non-title because it's not just Austin who will be a champion in
the next match. Austin, you will face Intercontinental Champion, Chris Benoit, The Big
Red Machine Kane and the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels in a four way dance.
You will learn that you don't screw around with the talent while I'm still Commissioner
       and that's FINAL!

STEVE AUSTIN Vs. SHAWN MICHAELS Vs. CHRIS BENOIT Vs. KANE
Austin was not happy with Foley signing this match despite it being a non-title match. It's a
good job it was non-title though after Austin was left laid out from Shawn Michaels by the end
of the match.
Kane and Chris Benoit went at each other exactly as they did on Raw meaning that the match was
effectively just Shawn Michaels against Steve Austin.
Michaels picks up the win though after a great series of moves from the wrestlers. Benoit got
Chokeslammed to Hell by Kane, but as Kane turned around Austin struck with the Sell Out Stunner.
Then Austin made a rare mistake when he did the same as Kane and turned to face Michaels...he
faced Michaels alright......Especially the right boot of Michaels. Sweet Chin Music was all
it took to keep Steve Austin down to the delight of the crowd.
Shawn Michaels defeated Kane, Chris Benoit and Steve Austin when Michaels
pinned S. Austin with the Superkick in 0:16:21.
Rating: ***

FOUR ON ONE HANDICAP ELIMINATION
M.D.GROUP (Bull/Dynamite/Edge&Test) Vs. THE ROCK
After Austin was forced into the four way match just moments earlier, Ted DiBiase demanded that
the rest of his group uphold the reputation by destroying the Rock.
That is just what they tried to do but almost failed after the Rock managed to reverse a snap
suplex from Dynamite into the Rock Bottom to eliminate him.
The Million Dollar Group then carried on the attack, three on one but they simply could not
keep the Rock down for the count. Eventually though, Test came up with a plan and went outside
to bring in the steel ringsteps. The Rock was pumphandle powerbombed onto the steps causing
Test to be Disqualified but the damage was done and the remaining men were able to pin the
Rock with ease just seconds later.
Million Dollar Group (Bull Buchanan, Dynamite, Edge and Test) beat Rocky Maivia
 1 fall to 2:
x Maivia beat Dynamite via the Rock Bottom in 0:06:15
x Maivia beat Test via DQ in 0:09:50
x Edge beat Maivia via a piinfall in 0:09:56

Survivors: Bull Buchanan, Edge
Rating: ***
