(Essa Rios retained the WWF Lightweight Title.)
**Rios retains the title against his former friend after interference from Funkai failed. Taka
called for some thing to be thrown in but Funaki threw to hard and it flew over Taka's head
and into the hand of Rios. Rios instantly hit Taka with it and made the cover as the ref
tried to get rid of Funaki.**

[$$$ Challenge]: No-Time-Limit-Handicap-Match:
Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated StratusPhere when Helmsley pinned Saturn
with the Pedigree in 0:12:59.
Rating: *
**First of three matches, that have to be won by the number one contenders. Triple H managed
to pin StratusPhere's Saturn after Val Venis missed the Money Shot leaving him down on the
mat. Saturn went for his Death Valley Driver but HHH was able to reverse it into a swinging
DDT which led to the Pedigree.**

[$$$ Challenge]: No-Time-Limit-Handicap-Match:
Kurt Angle defeated Billy Gunn and Tazz when Angle defeated Tazz by
disqualification in 0:08:15.
Rating: * 1/4
**Kurt Angle won this match by doing nothing apart from kicking out. Kurt somehow managed to
survive the onslaught from Tazz and Gunn to stay alive in the match. He managed to get to the
ropes whilest in the Tazmission to the astonishment of Tazz and the crowd. Tazz then went
nuts with a combination of 'Plexes but still Kurt wouldn't stay down for the three.
However, it appeared over when Billy Gunn hit the Fame-ASS-Er on Kurt Angle. But luckily for
Kurt, Tazz made a huge mistake. He began choking out a barely conscious Kurt with his wrist
tape, despite Billy Gunn and Mike Cheaota's efforts, they couldn't get Tazz off and so the
match was awarded to Kurt via DQ.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Too Cool defeated The Hardy Boyz when Scotty defeated J. Hardy by
disqualification in 0:08:30.
Rating: * 1/2
(The Hardy Boyz retained the WWF Tag Team Champions.)
**The Hardy Boyz retained the WWF Tag Titles for the second time in a week, but it was due to
a Disqualification. Matt & Jeff dominated the match, when the Acolytes came out followed by
Crash. The APA then pulled Scotty II Hotty outside the ring and hit him with a killer double
powerbomb.
This gave the win via DQ to Too Cool but more importantly it meant that Scotty was out!**

Rating: ** 1/4
(Crash won the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Steve Austin pinned Christian with the Stone Cold Stunner in 0:02:11.
Rating: * 1/2
(Steve Austin retained the WWF Heavyweight Title.)
**Yet another of Shane and Ted's title matches which meant that Austin was able to retain the
belt with ease. Although Christian is a great athlete, he is not in Austin's ball park. He
was humilated here as he was well out of his league. After the match, Austin, DiBiase and
Shane O-Mac began gloating about how Austin was the champ and no one could take it away from
him.**
Interview:
Chris Jericho's locker room

[$$$ Challenge]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Chris Jericho pinned Chris Benoit after a small package in 0:16:27.
Rating: ***
**Y2J won the third match of the Million Dollar Challenge to retain his, Angle's and Helmsley's
WWF Title shots at NO MERCY.
This match was the best of the night as both young Canadians gave it there all. Even Austin's
appearence wasn't enough to distract Jericho and thankfully, Kurt Angle made an appearance as
well to stop Austin from getting involved.
Eventually Jericho picked up the win by reversing a snapsuplex attempt into a small package.**
