Held in: ARROWHEAD POND
Location: CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES
Date/Time: Aug 24/00 at 7:30pm
[Sunday Night Heat]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Crowbar pinned Essa Rios after a flying bodypress in 0:07:46.
Rating: * 1/4
**Fairly evenly match up here as the Lightweight no#1 contender defeated Rios in his last
match before Summer Slam.
Rios tried hard throughout this match but Crowbar showed remarkable skills by staying in
control and by countering most of Rios' best moves.
Rios lost the match after he was shoved off the top rope whilst going for a Superplex and
Crowbar lept with the bodypress to get the win.**
[Sunday Night Heat]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Allied Powers (Christian and Davey Boy Smith) defeated
Foreign Fanatics (Shoichi Funaki and Taka Michinoku) when Christian pinned
Michinoku after an inverted DDT in 0:15:08.
Rating: **
**A good match between two of the teams involved in the 3 corner, 3 man tag match at SummerSlam
of course it won't be the Bulldog on the Allied Power's team but Angle and Edge.
Never the less this match was full of superb action as Bulldog's power and Christian's
technical skills were more then enough to counter the speed and highflying from Funaki and
Taka.
Surprisingly Yamiguchi-San didn't get involved in this match either as he didn't turn up for
this match or Essa Rios match earlier.**
[Sunday Night Heat]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Billy Gunn pinned Gangrel with the Fame-Ass-Er in 0:15:45.
Rating: * 1/2
**Bad Ass Billy Gunn defeated the leader of the Brood but only just. Gothdust ran down near the
end of the match and almost cost Gunn the match.
Gothdust and Gangrel went for a double suplex but Gunn was able to reverse and hit a DDT on
both men simaltaniously. From there Gunn was able to work over both men for a few minutes and
hit the Fame-Ass-Er on Gothdust and then Gangrel to get the win, despite the odds.**
[Sunday Night Heat]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Test pinned Bradshaw with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:11:08.
Rating: 3/4*
**The Heat main event saw Bradshaw go it alone in a singles match against Test. The match was
scheduled to be a tag team match but Faarooq was no-where to be seen.
Despite this Bradshaw showed extreme skills as a singles wrestler but unfortunatly Test was
that little bit better.
Test used his strength to throw Bradshaw to the outside with a press slam and from there, Al
Snow worked over Bradshaw.
Bradshaw out powered Al Snow but when he re-entered the ring, Test cut him off and continued
to go to work before finishing him off with the Pumphandle.**

No-Time-Limit-No DQ-Match:
The Hardy Boyz defeated Too Cool when M. Hardy pinned Scotty after hitting him
with a steel chair in 0:06:01.
Rating: * 1/2
**The Hardy Boyz got a win here against Too Cool but it was due to help from the Brood. The
match started out like a normal match but all four members of the Brood ran down as well as
Gunn and Rikishi and it turned into a brawl on the outside.
Hell Fire were chased backstage by Gunn and Rikishi and the Hardyz & Too Cool went to work on
Gangrel & Gothdust.
The referee managed to break it up but Kane came back down armed with a chair. Kane clobbered
Jeff and Sex-Ay with the chair but when he swung for Matt Hardy, Matt nailed him with a kick
and snatched the chair away from him. Matt then went to work with the chair as he and Scotty
fought off the Brood. But Gangrel spat the Red Liquid into the face of Matt, blinding his
vision. Matt swung the chair blindly at Gangrel but ended up hitting Scotty Too Hotty, then
Gothdust hit Matt Hardy with the Reverse DDT and threw him on top of Scotty for the Hardyz to
win.
After the match Gangrel and the Brood left leaving the crowd, Too Cool and the Hardyz puzzled
as to why they made Matt Hardy pin Scotty.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Edge pinned Val Venis with the Downward Spiral in 0:09:04.
Rating: ** 3/4
**Another match that saw two athletes involved in the three corner, three man tag match. Edge
managed to make it 2 wins against the other teams when he reversed Val's Fisherman Suplex
attempt with a low boot and then went for the Downward Spiral.
After the match the other seven men involved in the Summer Slam match ran down and a brawl
insued between them. Trish Stratus managed to get away before she got to involved and the
security ran in to break it up before the three teams beat the hell out of each other.**
No-Time-Limit-Non-Title-Match:
Eddie Guerrero pinned Gothdust with the Frog Splash in 0:05:13.
Rating: **
**The Lightheavyweight Champ got the win against Gothdust here. The match seemed like a walk
in the park for Eddie as he just went to work on Goth with ease.
Guerrero took down Gothdust time and time again with some superb highflying manouvers and
nearly won the match after a devestating spinkick from the top.
Eventually though Guerrero finished off Gothdust with a Brainbuster followed by the Frog
Splash.
After the match, Gangrel, walked backstage without waiting for Gothdust to get back up and
appeared to be disappointed throughout the match.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Kurt Angle pinned Al Snow with the The Olympic Slam in 0:13:19.
Rating: ** 1/2
**The third and final match between the three teams saw the Allied Powers make a clean sweep
as Angle defeated Snow.
Before this match, Mick Foley demanded that T&A, Allied Powers and Foreign Fanatics stay away
from ringside for this one, surprisingly they did leaving this match to be clean.
Al Snow and Angle had a great match as both men used their different backgrounds in Martial
Arts and Amature Wrestling to pull some amazing moves out in an attempt to surprise the
other. Eventually though Al Snow gained control and went to finish off Kurt with the Snowplow
but Angle reversed and managed to go behind and hit the Olympic Slam out of nowhere to pull
off the win.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Saturn and Tazz defeated D'Lo Brown and Ken Shamrock when Saturn pinned D'Lo
with the Top Rope Elbowdrop in 0:15:11.
Rating: *** 1/4
**This tag match was put together by Commissioner Foley at the last minute as the European and
Intercontinental matches for Summer Slam combined.
Tazz and Saturn worked extremly well together and where more then a match for D'Lo and Ken
Shamrock.
There was plenty of action between D'Lo and Saturn but the main focus had to be on Shamrock
and Tazz as they both attempted to injury the other before the match at Summer Slam.
Eventually Tazz slapped the Tazmission on D'Lo but before the referee could check out D'Lo,
Shamrrock dived in and broke it up. Tazz and Ken then proceded to beat the holy hell out of
each other on the outside as D'Lo lay exposed in the ring.
Saturn took advantage of this and dived from the top with his Elbowdrop to get the win for
himself and Tazz.**
Fight It Out No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Crash Holly pinned Bradshaw with the Crashlanding in 0:04:08.
Rating: *
(Crash Holly retained the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
**Crash Holly retained his title here against Bradshaw in an extreme match. Bradshaw hit his
the Clothesline from Hell on Crash but then ran straight into a steel chair from the Bulldog.
Davey Boy then hit the Running Powerslam on Bradshaw and threw Crash Holly on top for him to
retain the belt.**
[24/7 HaRdCoRe Challenge]: Fight It Out No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Davey Boy Smith pinned Crash Holly with the Running Powerslam in 0:01:12.
Rating: * 1/2
(Davey Boy Smith won the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
**As soon as the referee counted the fall for Crash against Bradshaw, the Bulldog pulled him up
and nailed him with the hanging vertical suplex. This only resulted in a two count to the
surprise of the crowd and the Bulldog. But Davey Boy followed up with a Running Powerslam to
win the title several days before he was scheduled to face Crash Holly for the belt at the
Summer Slam.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Hell Fire defeated Too Cool (Rikishi Phatu and Billy Gunn) when Kane pinned
Billy Gunn after a double chokeslam in 0:15:13.
Rating: 1/2*
**Hell Fire continued to dominate the WWF tag team division when they went to work on Too Cool.
Kane and Bigelow continue to work well as a team under the direction of Gangrel and after a
double chokeslam on Rikishi Phatu, they almost won it.
But Billy Gunn came in and proceded to clean house until he got caught by Kane and Bam Bam
who then hit a double chokeslam on him as well.
Kane then made the pin on Billy Gunn as Bam Bam hit the diving headbutt on Rikishi.**

No-Time-Limit-Number-One-Contenders-Match with Special Referee Mick Foley:
Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinned Rocky Maivia with the Pedigree in 0:12:26.
Rating: * 3/4
**Interesting match which saw Mick Foley call it down the line as he wanted. Rocky Maivia
got distracted during this match when Ted DiBiase appeared on the TitanTron and proceeded
to rip apart the Rock's $500 shirts in front of him and the crowd.
This was enough to get the Rock out of the ring and he started to make his way backstage
until Mick Foley stopped him and told him to get back in the ring which he did.
A few minutes later, The Rock was in trouble again after HHH hit him with a low blow and
hooked his arms for the Pedigree. But the Rock backed out and went for the Rock Bottom only
for Hunter to re-reverse with a version of a Downward Spiral before picking Maivia up and
hitting a Pedigree which Foley grudingly counted.**

No-Time-Limit-Number-One-Contenders-Match with Special Referee Shane McMahon:
Chris Benoit pinned Big Boss Man after a slap in 0:00:12.
Rating: 1/2*
**This wasn't even a match, it was a damn set up here as the Corporation used a well worked
plan during the night by attacking Jericho, Foley and the Rock meaning they could make the
WWF Title match at Summer Slam into a Triple Threat match with two Corporate members!
The match was a disgrace as Shane O-Mac called out the Boss Man and made himself the referee.
Boss Man entered the ring, the bell rung, Benoit slapped Boss Man across the face and the
Boss Man fell down in a gross act of over selling. Benoit then covered him to get the win
and become a no#1 contender with Triple H.
The show ended with Triple H and Benoit standing either side of Shane McMahon holding their
arms up in trumph.**
