Card Information:
 Held in: HAMPTON COLISEUM
Location: VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES
Date/Time: Aug 7/00 at 7:30pm

[Dark Match]:
Yokozuna pinned Bam Bam Bigelow with the Banzai Drop in 0:13:12.
Rating: -3/4*
**First match out of the night saw two big monsters square off. Both men went into the match
having lost their matches on Smackdown.
Yokozuna took the match after Triple B missed the headbutt from the top rope. Bam Bam had
knocked himself silly from the manouver and Yokozuna dragged him over to the corner where he
finished him off with the Banzai Drop.**
[Dark Match]:
Essa Rios and Taka Michinoku defeated Insane Posse when Rios pinned D. Flair
 after a Frankensteiner in 0:10:07.
Rating: 1/2*
**The new partnership of Essa Rios and Taka Michinoku was a success in it's first outing. The
two lightweights used their speed and quickness to take down the agressive Posse team. David
Flair and Crowbar never looked like winning the match. The Insane Posse are now without a win
since they made their WWF debut.**
[Dark Match]: Night Stick No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Terry Funk pinned Big Boss Man after a bodyslam in 0:14:11.
Rating: * 3/4
**The funkster made a triumphant return to hardcore action. Terry Funk and the Bossman fought
it out for almost 15 minutes. The Bossman lost the match after he missed Terry Funk and hit
the ropes with the nightstick. The stick then bounced back into the face of the Bossman and
Funk just waited for Bossman to turn around. The Bossman stumbled into he waiting arms of
Terry who just drilled him to the canvas with a devistating bodyslam.**

No-Time Limit-Number One Contenders-Triangle Match:
The Dudley Boys defeated The Acolytes and The Hardy Boyz when Buh Buh pinned
Faarooq with the Buh Buh Cutter in 0:20:40.
Rating: * 1/4
**The first televised match was for the no#1 contender spot for the tag team titles. The APA
and the Hardyz fought for most of this match whilst the Dudleyz bought their time.
The Dudleyz won after Jeff Hardy went up for the Swanton Bomb on Faarooq. Buh Buh Ray tagged
Jeff just before he lept, meaning he was the legal man. Hardy hit the Swanton onto Faarooq
but Tim White told him he wasn't the legal man and so couldn't count.
Jeff Hardy then turned around into a 3-D from the Dudleyz. Matt and Bradshaw both ran into
break up the Dudleyz but ended up beating the hell out of each other.
Faarooq was able to get back up but Buh Buh pounced with the Buh Buh Cutter for the win and a
shot against Edge & Christian later in the night.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Gangrel pinned Goldust after a gutwrench suplex in 0:10:04.
Rating: 1/4*
**A good match between two of the WWF's mid card talent. Goldust came extremly close to winning
this match on a number of occassions as did Gangrel.
The ending came after, Mick Kioata stopped Goldust from nailing the Shattered Dreams. As
Goldust argued with Kioata, Gangrel was able to recover and took a sip out of his gothic cup.
This of course meant that as soon as Goldust turned around, he got a face full of liquid and
one gutwrench later, Gangrel took the match.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Saturn pinned D'Lo Brown with the Top Rope Elbowdrop in 0:13:17.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Saturn retained the WWF European Title.)
**Terri is a devil! D-Lo Brown should be the new European champion and if it wasn't for Terri
he would have been. This match was intense as D-Lo used his speed to counter the raw power
from Saturn, and it paid off.
Saturn looked extremely vunerable in this match against D-Lo who is a former Euro champion.
D-Lo hit the running powerbomb on Saturn at one point for a close two count. Saturn wasn't
done yet though as he fought back with some power moves of his own. A Death Valley Driver
appeared to have the match won as Saturn went up. But D-Lo was able to get to his feet before
Saturn lept. Saturn lept anyway but D-Lo caught him with the SkyHigh leaving him flat out.
Of course D-Lo, instantly went to the top rope looking for the Lo-Down, which is where Terri
came in. Terri jumped onto the apron and nailed D-Lo in the back with the European title,
D-Lo fell down and Saturn simply finished the job with his Elbowdrop from another buckle.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Eddie Guerrero pinned Grandmaster Sexay with the Frog Splash in 0:09:28.
Rating: * 3/4
(Eddie Guerrero retained the WWF Lightweight Title.)
**Close but fair match between Latino Heat and Grandmasta. Although Chyna was at ringside, she
stayed out of the match even when the wrestlers where fighting right in front of her.
The ending came after Guerrero countered a hurricanrana from Grandmaster into a powerbomb,
leaving the Too Cool member open for the Frog Splash.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Tazz made Crash Holly submit to the Tazmission in 0:04:07.
Rating: ***
(Kane no-showed.)
**Crash Holly replaced a missing Kane and probably wished he hadn't. This entire match seemed
to be a walk in the park to Tazz as he constantly bombarded, Crash with Tazplex after Tazplex.
He did get over cocky at one point though which enabled Crash to get a near fall from an
inside cradle. But this just infuriated Tazz further as he took Crash apart.
The no-show from Kane was bizarre however as he had been seen in the building on a number of
occasions during the evening. When his locker room was checked it had been completely
destroyed as if some sort of struggle had taken place, but there was no sign of Big Red.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinned Chris Jericho with the Pedigree in 0:13:58.
Rating: ** 1/4
**Triple H is the GAME. He took everything that Y2J had and threw it back and more. Triple H
not only kicked out of the double powerbomb but he managed to get to the ropes several times
when it looked as though, he was going to get caught in the Walls of Jericho.
This close match was ruined though as the wife of Hunter made herself known. She nailed
Jericho in the spine with the Woman's Title belt as he bounced off the ropes near her.
Y2J then staggered into Triple H's high knee and was knocked down. HHH then picked up the
young Canadian and drilled him into the canvas with his Pedigree.**

Scottie II Hottie & Rikishi come out

Elimination No-Time-Limit-Match:
Triple Cool (Rikishi Phatu and Scotty Too Hotty) and Billy Gunn beat
T&A (Al Snow, Test and Val Venis) 3 falls to 0:
x Rikishi beat Test via the Banzai Drop in 0:03:40
x Scotty beat Snow via the Pumpin' Slam in 0:07:50
x Billy Gunn beat Venis via the Fame-Ass-Er in 0:08:29
Survivors: Rikishi Phatu, Scotty Too Hotty, Billy Gunn
Rating: *
**Well look who's back! The former Degenerate, Billy Gunn made a shock return to action as a
replacement for the injured Grandmaster Sexay as Too Cool took revenge on T & A
T & A where punished for their attack earlier in the night as Too Cool & Gunn swept them away
winning by three falls to zero.
Test seemed completly out of his depth after he nailed Phatu with his Big Boot to the face.
Most men go down from that kick but not the big Samoan. He just absorbed the kick and then
hit Test with a Superkick. Test was then nailed with the Rikishi-Driver before finally being
put away with a Banzai Drop.
Al Snow was the next eliminated and it was because of a lack of concentration. Phatu made a
blind tag to Scottie II Hottie and then moved to the other side of the ring. Of course Snow
went for Phatu and enabled Scottie to hit the Pumpin' Slam for another fall.
The final fall saw Val Venis make a similar mistake to Snow as he also failed to notice a tag.
Scottie was whipped into the ropes where he tagged in Gunn. Val then powerslamed Scottie as
he came off the ropes, whilst Billy Gunn snuck in and climbed the second buckle on the inside.
As Val got up from the powerslam, that's when Gunn struck. He lept from the buckle with a
perfect Fame-Ass-Er and put Val into the mat for the win and a trumphant return!**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
The Dudley Boys defeated Blood Brothers when D-Von pinned Christian with the
Flying Legdrop in 0:10:04.
Rating: * 1/4
(The Dudley Boys won the WWF Tag Team Champions.)
**NEW Champions! The Dudley Boyz did it. They defeated Edge & Christian in a great match up.
D-Von and Buh Buh Ray didn't even seemed tired during this match, which considering the war
they went through at the start of the show to earn this match, was a shock.
Edge and Christian were not as organised as they normally were and they paid for it in the
  worst possible way.
The ending didn't quite go the way that the Blood Brothers had planned. The Dudleyz hit the
3-D on Christian and where going to go for the pin when Edge destracted the ref. This caused
D-Von to come in and the ref went to get D-Von out. Edge then dived in with the ring bell and
clocked Buh Buh in the head with it before rolling Christian on top.
Edge took a moment to taunt the crowd and inadvertantly drew the referee to him. D-Von then
nailed the Flying Legdrop from the top rope and made the cover.
Edge was so cocky that we had his back to the ring and counted along with the ref and the
capacity crowd, thinking it was his brother getting the pin.
As soon as the bell was rung, he turned around to find out he was now an Ex-Champ.**

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Rocky Maivia pinned Chris Benoit with the Rock Bottom in 0:17:22.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Rocky Maivia retained the WWF Heavyweight Title.)
**The Rock wins buct only just. Just as everyone expected when this match was announced to be
a no-DQ match, the Corporation attacked without mercy.
Bossman, Saturn and Shane all got physically involved in this match up and almost cost the
Rock the title. The only two members of the Corporation, that didn't get involved where
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley as they had left just before the match.
Eventually the Rock was given an even match as Jericho came down armed with a chair and was
able to chase away Shane McMahon and the other Corporate members. Y2J then stayed at ringside
in case they made another appearence, which they thankfully didn't.
From here the Rock was able to fight back and that is indeed what he did. He hit Benoit with
everything. But Benoit wouldn't give up either and it took a reversal from a Reverse Russian
Legsweep by the Rock for him to counter it into the Rock Bottom for the win.
After the match, Chris Jericho got in the ring with the Rock and shook his hand before leaving
  to a huge pop.**

Match observations:
NEWS DESK by Russell Mania
Grandmaster Sexay will be at Smackdown this Thursday, his injury wasn't serious enough for him
to need any time off. He went to the local hospital after his attack and was given the all
clear just before the main event kicked off.
Billy Gunn is on a short term deal here in the WWF as part of a talent trading programme with
ECW. Hardcore Holly went to ECW in exchange for Billy Gunn and it is hoped that deals like this
will become more of a regular thing between these two federations.
It's also being reported that the team of Taka Michinoku and Essa Rios are already impressing
those higher up and we could see them more involved in the tag team scene in the coming weeks.
However a team that isn't doing very well and looks to be in the WWF Doghouse is the Insane
Posse. Although they worked well together in other Federations, they don't seem to be working
as a unit in the WWF. More on this as it happens.
