**We open with highlights from NO WAY OUT with Kane beating Austin in a Hell in the Cell. As
well as The Rock retaining the WWF Championship against Tazz.
We then cut to live action as 'No Chance' plays as Shane McMahon walks out followed by the
Sandman, Crush, Wrath and Chris Benoit.**
SHAN - As you all saw last night, the new Corporation has come off an almost perfect pay per
view. Not only did Crush & Wrath destroy six of the WWF's top teams but the Sandman
pinned Mick Foley in the centre of the ring.
So tonight is going to be another night to prove our worth.
Tonight me and the Sandman will take on Al Snow and Chavo Guerrero.
Also Doom will take on and destroy the Dudley Boys, in preperation for their title shot
on Smackdown.
Finally the last of our members, Benoit will be in action against Shawn Michaels......
Tazz.......and Chris Jericho!!
**Benoit looks stunned and moves for Shane.**
SHAN - Woooh there, Crippler. You said that you wanted this Corporation to be the best of the
best. Now didn't you say that if anybody messed up that they should also be dealt with
accordingly.
CBEN - I did. So be it, I did drop the ball and the Intercontinental title at NO WAY OUT, so
I accept the match. I'll prove my worth once again and I'm begging anyone to prove me
wrong.
SHAN - Excellent. Well the foundations are set for another great night so quit yapping and get
ready.
**Shane McMahon leaves again followed by Crush, Wrath, Sandman and Benoit.**
REY MISTERIO Jr. Vs. DYNAMITE w/t Dibiase
Fast paced match between two of the WWF's lightweight division. As usual it was full of action
and neither man has control for long.
Unfortuantly for Rey Misterio Jr. it was the involvement of Ted DiBiase that cost him the match.
DiBiase nailed Rey in the back of the head with the silver briefcase, Rey staggered forward
and Dynamite hit the gutwrench for the win.
Dynamite pinned Rey Misterio Jr. after a gutwrench suplex in 0:10:39.
Rating: *** 1/2
THE HOLLYS w/t Molly Vs. STRATUSPHERE
The Hollys came into this match against the former champions, determined to solidify themselves
in the tag division. They did just that as they took control of Venis and Saturn thought the
bout.
Ending came after Venis held back Crash for Saturn. Saturn went for a thrust kick but Crash
escaped and Venis ended up getting it. Saturn turned around to grab Crash but found Hardcore
Bob. Bob nailed him with the Hollycaust (Falcon Arrow) for the victory.
The Hollys defeated StratusPhere when Holly pinned Saturn with the Hollycaust in 0:08:42.
Rating: **
**As the Hollys celebrate Val Venis shakes his head in disappointment as Saturn makes it back
to his feet.
Saturn and Venis begin getting verbal with each other and soon the shoving begins as neither
will accept blame for the loss of form. The shoving then decends into a slugfest which is
broken up in minutes by the WWF officials.
Venis is then hurded back to the locker room by several officials as Saturn is kept away from
him in the ring.**
WWF HaRdCoRe CHAMPIONSHIP
KURT ANGLE (C.) Vs. BILLY GUNN
Kurt Angle put the HaRdCoRe title on the line against the former European champion in a match
that was a change of pace for both athletes.
However Angle does seem to be getting into this HaRdCoRe division and is currently the longest
reigning HaRdCoRe champion in well over a year.
Billy Gunn seemed really frustraited by his loss to Razor last night and made several mistakes
as he tried to put Kurt Angle away.
The end came after Kurt moved away from the Fame-Ass-Er and followed up with the Olympic Slam.
Kurt Angle pinned Billy Gunn with the The Olympic Slam in 0:08:54.
Rating: **
(Kurt Angle retained the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
RAZOR RAMON Vs. TRIPLE H w/t Steph
We had a non-title match next as Triple H took on Euro Champ, Razor in one-on-one competition.
Triple H dominated almost the entire match as it was obvious that Razor hadn't fully recovered
from the Ladder match.
The ending came as a surprise when Triple H put Razor down with a piledriver and set up Ramon
for the Pedigree. But Kevin Nash ran out as HHH was setting Razor Ramon up.
Nash entered the ring and Triple H backed off from him. Nash then turned to Razor and dropped
him with a Jackknife leading to the disqualification in Razor's favour.
Razor Ramon defeated Triple H by disqualification in 0:12:59.
Rating: **
**Nash picks up Razor and throws him to the outside before walking up to the Game. Triple H
is handed a microphone by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley.**
GAME - What the hell was that Nash. I had the match won.
NASH - I just want to know why, why did you turn on me last night.
GAME - Why? I'll tell you why, I'm the damn Game! I've finally realised last night that I
don't need the DeGeneration X name anymore. I've been so busy fighting with Michaels
that I've been sidetracked by the most important thing in my life, the WWF Championship!
NASH - That's it! You turned on me for the title! We've been friends for almost a decade and
you turn on me because you want the WWF Title? The hell is wrong with you Hunter?
I'd have stepped aside if you'd told me you wanted to go for the title.
But you had to do it that way. Well you leave me no choice.......I QUIT!
**Kevin Nash drops the microphone and goes to leave but turns back around and doubles up HHH
with a kick. Nash then Jackknives the Game to cheers from the crowd. Nash acknowledges the
crowd and begins the walk up the WWF ramp and to the backstage area for possibly the last
time ever.**
SANDMAN & SHANE McMAHON Vs. AL SNOW & CHAVO Jr.
Next up we had tag team action as the leader of the Corporation and Sandman took on Snow and
Chavo. It might as well have been a handicap match as Shane refused to tag in unless Sandman
had one of the others worn down.
Despite this the Sandman was able to get the win after Shane slipped in the Singapore Cane and
distracted the offical by faking a knee injury. Sandman used the Cane on Chavo's head and then
broke it over Al Snow's head as well. He then dropped Chavo with the DDT to get the three.
The Sandman and Shane McMahon defeated Al Snow and Chavo Guerrero Jr. when Sandman pinned Chavo
with the DDT in 0:10:16.
Rating: ** 1/4
TAZZ Vs. BENOIT Vs. JERICHO Vs. MICHAELS
The fourway dance got underway between these four superstars with an all out brawl which wasn't
seperated until about ten minutes in. During which time, Jericho was pinned by a Benoit dragon
suplex in the midst of the action.
The next eliminated was Benoit after he got frustraited at Tazz kicking out of a Swandive and
used a chair on him.
Down to Tazz and Michaels and HBK had the advantage due to the Benoit chair shot. HBK tried to
put Tazz down with the Superkick but Tazz was able to duck out of the way and went behind HBK.
Michaels tried another kick from close range but Tazz grabbed his foot and shoved it down again
before snatching Shawn by the waist and a Northern Lights suplex.
Tazz defeated Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels:
x Benoit beat Chris Jericho via a dragon suplex in 0:08:03
x Tazz beat Benoit via disqualification in 0:14:27
x Tazz beat Michaels via a Northern Lights suplex in 0:19:19
Rating: ****
The Dudleys and Doom had a very brutal match which could have gone either way. Doom have a
title shot on Smackdown and wanted a warm-up match today to prepare. Well the Dudleys took
them to the wire after they were just as powerful then Doom.
But the ending came after Wrath hit D-Von Dudley with the Meltdown as a reversal for stunner
type move. As Wrath got the pin, Crush was fighting with Buh Buh on the outside which resulted
in Buh Buh being thrown into the ringsteps by the big Hawian.
Doom defeated The Dudley Boys when Wrath pinned D-Von with the Meltdown in 0:13:43.
Rating: *** 3/4
(D-Von Dudley was injured for 9 cards with a neck injury.)
**Crush and Wrath leave the ring and begin walking backstage as Buh Buh Ray Dudley enters the
ring and checks on brother, D-Von.
Buh Buh signals to the backstage area and EMT's come flooding down and run past Doom on the
way. Wrath and Crush turn back around and look as D-Von Dudley is strapped onto a gurney by
the EMTs.
But then Doom walk back down the ramp and re-enter the ring where they begin to attack the
EMTs and officials in the ring.
Buh Buh grabs a chair and swings for Crush but misses and Wrath nails Ray with a clothesline
from behind.
Buh Buh is then given the Double Chokeslam move by the two monsters. More EMTs ran down but
are given Meltdown, Double Chokeslams and Tilt-a-whirl Backbreakers.
Doom then leave the ring to a barrage of abuse leaving a trail of destruction behind them.**
WWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
ROCK (C.) Vs. TEST
Main event time saw Test get a rare title shot as an attempt by the M.D.Man to wear down the
Rock and take that title away from him.
As you can guess, the Rock was too experienced for Test and made short work of the big man.
Test wasn't even able to connect with his Big Boot move and the Rock put him down with a Rock
Bottom after Test missed a clothesline.
The Rock pinned Test with the Rock Bottom in 0:05:13.
Rating: ** 1/4
(The Rock retained the WWF Heavyweight Title.)
**The Rock celebrates a hard fought victory but that is short lived as Steve Austin slides in
behind the Great One as he goes to retrieve the title belt.
Rock turns around and Austin strikes with a quick kick and Sell Out Stunner, that has the~
Rock downed.
Austin then stomps away at the Rock as the crowd goes crazy and chants for the Rock build as
they try and will their champ back up. Steve Austin then pulls a chair from outside and
opens it up slightly to place the Rock's right leg into it.
Austin picks up the Rock's title and holds it up in mock victory before using it as a weapon
on the Rock's knee. Austin then points to the corner and moves towards it. Steve climbs to
the second buckle on the inside and is about to jump off onto the chair when......
......BBOOOOOOOOMMMM! Fire Pryos go off as Kane runs out from backstage.
The Rattlesnake stares right at Kane and doesn't take his eyes off the Big Red Machine as he
steps over the ropes into the ring. Austin charges at Kane and goes for a right hand but
Kane blocks and grabs Steve Austin by the throat.
Kane delivers the Chokeslam from Hell to the Rattlesnake as the Rock makes it back to his
feet.
Rock looks at Kane and then down at Austin. Rock moves into position at Austin's head and
away goes the elbow pad as Kane looks on. The Rock delivers the People's Elbow to the
Rattlesnake just as Kane drops his arms for the Pryos to go off again.
Kane then exits the ring as the Rock retrieves the title belt.
We leave the show with "Smell It!" playing with Kane backing up the ramp and the Rock looking
at the Big Red Machine.
