**As the show starts, 'Mankind Wreck' plays as Commissioner Foley comes out to ringside.**
MICK - Last week on Smackdown, the Rock faced Kurt Angle in a match that put Rock's no#1
contendership on the line. Well Kurt won due to Austin and DiBiase, and so prevented
the Rock from going into the main event at the ROYAL RUMBLE in just under 2 weeks time.
BUT as I heard the news about this, I was shocked that the match had been signed and
agreed to.....then I realised it hadn't!!
So I am now reversing the match from last week and the Rock is STILL no#1 contender.
**Kurt's theme hits as the Olympic Hero comes out to a good pop.**
KURT - Wait up there Mick, I won that match last week and even though Austin attacked the Rock,
and myself, I think that I should still be the no#1 contender.
MICK - I was coming to that, Rock can you come out here as well, please.
**The arena explodes as the Rock comes out and stands in the ring with Kurt and Foley.**
ROCK - FINALLY THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO PHIL-A-DEL-PHIA!!!
**Crowd cheers some more.**
ROCK - Well Foley, the Rock's hear and the Rock's listening so come on, what is it that you have
in mind for The Rock?
MICK - Basically Rock, you are the no#1 contender as you beat Triple H in a no#1 contendership
match a few weeks ago....
ROCK - The Rock already knows this.
KURT - Yeah, so do I, come on Mick.
MICK - Well, Kurt beat you last week in another no#1 contender match that was made by DiBiase
to stop the Rock going to the Rumble. So you both have a claim to the contendership. So
how about you, Rock and you, Kurt Angle BOTH go to the Royal Rumble and take on Austin
in a triple threat match!
**The crowd goes absolutly crazy and chants for Angle and the Rock fill the arena. But the
noise then changes to BOOS as 'Million Dollar Theme' plays as Austin and DiBiase come out side
by side followed by Edge, Test, Bull and Dynamite**
3:16 - Foley, what the hell are you doing? I'm supposed to face one of these two not both!
MICK - No, you WERE but as you seem determained to fix who you'll be facing at the Royal Rumble..
...I'm changing the odds.
$TED - You can't do that Mick.
MICK - I can and I did and as for your cronies well I think that the Hardy Boys will want some
pay back for last week. So later on tonight, we will see Dynamite, Bull & Test take on
Matt & Jeff Hardy as well as hmmm... ...The Light-heavyweight Champion, K-Kwik!!
And Austin, you and Edge will take on the Rock and Kurt Angle!!!
$TED - Foley, you're going to pay for this.
MICK - No I'm not, good luck at the RUMBLE Steve, because you won't walk out with that title
belt, IT'S TRUE, IT'S TRUE! IF YA SMELL WHAT THE COMMISH IS SIGNING.
**'Mankind Wreck' plays agan as DiBiase's group begin cursing Mick Foley and the Rock and Kurt
Angle stand face-to-face.**
Opener saw Christian take on one of the OutKasts, Scott Hall. Despite his size and experience
advantage, Scott Hall was having trouble putting Christian away.
Christian was having the same problems though as "Last Call" Hall kicked out of two reverse DDTs
from Christian.
But once again Christian lost due to Edge and the MDGroup. Dynamite caused the distraction and
Edge hit the Edge-A-Matic on Christian leaving him prone on the mat for Scott Hall to polish
him off.
Scott Hall pinned Christian with the OutKast Edge in 0:11:48.

WWF HaRdCoRe TITLE MATCH
SABU (C) Vs. STEVE BLACKMAN
A brutal HaRdCoRe match as the new champion Sabu took on the Lethal Weapon. The match was set
in the ring but it didn't stay there for long as the two superstars fought to the backstage
area.
Sabu got the win after he ducked Blackman's jumpkick and put him in the Camel Clutch before he
could turn around. Blackman held on for as long as he could but Sabu rammed him into the wall
several times and eventually Blackman gave up.
Sabu made Steve Blackman submit to a camel clutch in 0:10:53.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Sabu retained the WWF HaRdCoRe Title.)
**As Blackman gets to his feet, he leans on a wall to steady himself as Michael Cole moves in
with a microphone.**
COLE - Steve Blackman, you were just moments away from winning the HaRdCoRe belt, your thoughts?
BLCK - You know, I came damn close to winning and......what's that?
**Blackman moves away from Michael Cole and walks up to the semi-opened door behind them.**
COLE - Err...Steve?
BLCK - Shhhhh....Come over here, and bring the camera with you.
**Cole and the camera crew move closer and peer through the gap in the door to reveal Ted
DiBiase on a mobile telephone.**
BLCK - Listen, he said something a second ago.
$TED - Yeah, don't worry about it. He's agreed to join us. It took a lot of money to convince
him.......who'd have thought that the World's Most Dangerous Man would cost me as much
as Test and Bull together. Yeah, he's joined so don't worry about it, we got a new
member.
BLCK - Did you hear that, Cole? World's Most Dangerous Man!! That's Shamrock, that Son-Bitch
has sold out like Faarooq did.
COLE - It sounded like that to me. Do you really think he's sold out?
BLCK - I don't know Michael, I don't know......If he has, then so help me, I'll beat the hell
out of him......Get out of my path, Cole. I'm going to ask him.
**Blackman shoves Cole out the way but Cole hits the wall quite hard as Steve walks off. Ted
DiBiase hears and ends the call and pulls open the door.**
$TED - What the hell are you doing here? Get out of here............NOW!!
WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
LATINO HEAT (C) w/t Kat&Chyna Vs. DUDLEY BOYS
Latino Heat put the titles on the line against Team Extreme's Dudley Boys in this one. Eddie
Guerrero was in for most of the match due to a minor injury suffered by Essa Rios last week in
the Lightweight title match.
Rios was involved in the match though and although he had a diminished responsibility, it was
enough to wear the Dudleys down. It wasn't long before Latino Heat were able to go for the
"Heatwave" finisher (Superplex and Frogsplash) on D-Von Dudley. But Tazz pushed Eddie off the
top rope at the last second and attacked him.
The referee called for the bell as the Dudley Boys and Tazz worked over Latino Heat boys. Kat
and Chyna tried to help but Mamacita got 3-D'ed and Mini-Mama got put in the Tazmission.
Latino Heat defeated The Dudley Boys when E. Guerrero defeated D-Von by
disqualification in 0:11:08.
Rating: ***
(Latino Heat retained the WWF Tag Team Championship.)
**The attack continues as Tazz and the Dudleys do a number on Latino Heat. But the Philadelphia
crowd is stunned as the 'ECW theme music' plays and Sabu comes out with a chair in hand.
He enters behind Tazz and the Dudley Boys and holds the chair up high. At the last second he
swings for Eddie Guerrero instead and busts him wide open, as Tazz finally turns around to see
him.
D-Von brings in a microphone for Tazz as Buh Buh Ray smiles and shakes Sabu's hand.**
TAZZ - Sabu, I take it you've accepted our invitation.
**Sabu nods.**
TAZZ - Excellent. YES, Team Extreme just got a whole lot more Intense. Oh and Sabu, great
decision to make the 'announcement' here in Philadelphia. WWF, now Sabu is by our side,
we're more determained then ever to put the Extreme back into Wrestling.
Eee.Ceee.F'N.Dubya may have ended but we're keeping it alive.
**Tazz drops the microphone as the assult on the four members of Latino Heat continues.**
KEVIN NASH Vs. SHAWN MICHAELS
Another match in the on going HBK Vs. OutKasts saga. Michaels got the better of Nash in this
one though as 'Big Sexy' was totally out classed.
Nash got frustrated within minutes of the match starting after HBK avoided several of Nash's
signature holds. Michaels used this to his advantage and taunted Nash time and time again by
trash-talking and using embarassing moves like a drop toe hold and then slapping the head of
Nash repeatedly.
Shawn Michaels got the pin after being sent into the turnbuckle by Kevin Nash. HBK came off
the ropes and Nash went for the Big Boot, but HBK ducked and went behind. Of course once Nash
turned around, Michaels was posed and BANG, Sweet Chin Music was delivered.
Shawn Michaels pinned Kevin Nash with the Superkick in 0:07:38.
Rating: ** 1/2
'Y2J' CHRIS JERICHO Vs. SATURN w/t Trish
Chris Jericho took on Saturn of Trish's group in this contest. Saturn and Jericho have had a
well documented history in previous federations but this wasn't a shadow of those former matches
as Jericho is now more talented then Saturn.
Saturn found this out the hard way as Jericho dominated him in this match. Even the appearence
at ringside by Venis wasn't enough to distract Jericho as he relentlessly went to work on Perry
Saturn.
Eventually Saturn had, had enough and scrambled to the outside as Jericho went for the Walls Of
Jericho. Despite Trish and Venis pleading with him, Saturn refused to go back in and took the
countout loss.
Chris Jericho defeated Saturn by countout in 0:12:00.
Rating: ** 1/4
M.D.GROUP (Bull/Dynamite&Test) Vs. HARDY BOYZ & K-KWIK
Six man tag team match that delighted the crowds despite being Dynamite's first match back in
the WWF and also K-Kwik's first tag team match.
K-Kwik and Dynamite not only had milestone's in their WWF career in this match as they went at
each other with equal ability. Dynamite was stunned by K-Kwik's ability against him but he was
able to match him hold for hold.
The ending didn't involve either man though as the Matt Hardy caught Bull out of no-where with
the Twist of Fate while Test and Dynamite where getting instructions from DiBiase.
The Hardy Boyz and K-Kwik defeated Million Dollar Group (Bull Buchanan, Dynamite and Test)
when M. Hardy pinned Bull Buchanan with the Twist of Fate in 0:16:48.
Rating: ** 1/2
**Rock is shown in his locker room stretching and warming up for the tag match later tonight.
There is a knock at the door and Kurt Angle walks in.**
KURT - Rock, you busy?
ROCK - The Rock's always ready, what do you want now you Jerbroni?
KURT - Woooh there Rock, that's kind of what I want to talk to you about. You know between now
and the ROYAL RUMBLE, Ted DiBiase is going to try his best to prevent one or both of us
from getting to the Pay-Per-View. But all you can do is verbally assult me.
ROCK - Get on with it Dumb Ass.
KURT - Stop it, look all I'm trying to say is, between now and the RUMBLE, that we work as a
team, you know together. We back each other up and call a truce.....just between now
and the ROYAL RUMBLE.
ROCK - Well the Rock doesn't rate you much in fact the Rock thinks you're kinda goofy. But the
Rock does want a shot at the title so if he has to make nice with you to do it, then the
Rock will do what he has to do.
KURT - Great, I'm sure that we can stop any plans that DiBiase has for us and when we get to the
RUMBLE, may the best man win.
ROCK - Don't worry, the Rock will.
'Crippler' CHRIS BENOIT Vs. 'Big Red' KANE
Kane took on Benoit for revenge on last week's attack by the OutKasts....and it looks doubtful
that the OutKasts will try attacking Kane again.
Kane was vicious in this match and choked the life out of the Crippler time and time again,
Benoit got Military Pressed to the outside by the Big Red Machine and desided enough was enough.
Chris Benoit returned to the ring armed with a chair and proceeded to hit Kane across the back
with it several times causing the DQ. But Kane stayed up some how and upper cutted Benoit to
send the chair flying. Kane then drilled Chris Benoit with the Chokeslam from Hell before
leaving to a great ovation.
Kane defeated Chris Benoit by disqualification in 0:15:51.
Rating: ** 3/4
M.D.GROUP (Edge/Austin) w/t DiBiase Vs. THE ROCK & KURT ANGLE
The other two members of the Million Dollar Group were in action in the final match as they
took on the two no#1 contenders for the ROYAL RUMBLE main event.
As the match progressed it seemed like the referee was favouring the Million Dollar Group and
then it became obvious why! It was Sol Doubt, the Million Dollar Man's personal referee,
somehow DiBiase had pulled the switch backstage and when Kurt Angle realised all hell broke
out.
The Rock and Kurt Angle got into a fist fight with Edge and Steve Austin but the rest of the
Million Dollar Group came out to assist them. Test, Bull and Dynamite soon helped turn the
tide in the match up despite Rock & Angle's efforts.
Eventually the assult paid off as Kurt Angle got dropped with the Sell Out Stunner and a fast
count later, Edge & Austin walked away with the cheap win.
Million Dollar Group (Edge and Steve Austin) defeated Kurt Angle and Rocky Maivia when
S. Austin pinned Angle with the Sell Out Stunner in 0:11:31.
