Date/Time: Aug 14/00 at 7:30pm
[Dark Match]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
D'Lo Brown defeated Big Boss Man by countout in 0:09:16.
Rating: DUD
**D'Lo picks up a second win within a week over the Boss Man in a rematch from Sunday Heat. The
Boss Man was counted out after he fought with D'Lo on the outside. D'Lo managed to hit the
Sky High on the outside before sliding in to break the count. The Boss Man however couldn't
get up in time.**
[Dark Match]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
T & A with Head defeated Foreign Fanatics when Test pinned Michinoku with the
Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:15:05.
Rating: *
**The first loss for the team of Taka and Rios but it didn't seem fair. The Fanatics took it
to Al Snow and Test throughout the match. But unfortunatly Taka and Rios lack of English
language skills led to problems with the ref. As the ref was trying to explain to Essa Rios
that he needed to leave the ring, Trish Stratus threw her boot into the ring and Test then
clobbered Michinoku with it. That left Taka open for the Pumphandle and the cheap win.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Eddie Guerrero pinned Scotty Too Hotty with the Frog Splash in 0:07:34.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Eddie Guerrero retained the WWF Lightweight Title.)
**So yet another win for Eddie Guerrero as he makes it four wins out of four in the last two
weeks. It was a superb match as Scotty took Eddie to the very limit. But Latino Heat just
had the edge and managed to nail a hanging brainbuster onto Scotty to keep him down long
enough for the Frog Splash.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Tazz made Rock-A-Billy submit to the Tazmission in 0:08:49.
Rating: ***
**Tazz also repeated Guerrero's feet by going 4-0 as well. He wasn't as dominant as he had
been in previous matches as Gunn gave all he had. Rock-A-Billy came extremely close to
winning the mach on a number of occassions but Tazz showed that he was just as good on defence
as on offence. Billy Gunn almost hit the Fame-Ass-Er but Tazz managed to back away at the
last minute and Gunn hit the mat instead where Tazz clapped on the Tazmission for another
tap out win.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Blood Brothers, Davey Boy Smith and Kurt Angle defeated
The Hardy Boyz and The Acolytes when Angle pinned Bradshaw with the
The Olympic Slam in 0:21:15.
Rating: ** 1/4
**So the newly formed team of the Allied Powers (Bulldog/Angle) teamed up with the former champs
in this eight man tag match. The Acolytes and the Hardyz worked well as well. The highflying
Hardyz and the raw power of the Acolytes wasn't enough though as the Angle team won the bout.
Edge and Christian took out the Hardyz on the outside as Faarooq and Bulldog went toe-to-toe
up the aisle. This brawl left Kurt and Bradshaw in the ring and a great combination from
Kurt Angle. He took down Bradshaw time and again with dropkicks, arm drags and other fast
moves and eventually had him softened up enough for the Olympic Slam.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Rikishi Phatu defeated Saturn by disqualification in 0:04:31.
Rating: 1/4*
(Saturn retained the WWF European Title.)
**Rikishi Phatu should be the European champion! He was screwed out of the title by Terri just
as D'Lo was last week.
Saturn missed his huge elbow drop on Rikishi after Terri knocked him down with the Euro title
behind the ref's back. From there Rikishi nailed the Rikishi-Driver onto Saturn and began
dragging him over to the corner for the Banzai Drop.
He hit the Banzai but on the two count, Terri nailed Rikishi with the belt again, this time in
full view of the referee who instantly DQ'ed Saturn.
Although Terri saved her man again, he wasn't able to save her. Saturn was still down after
the Rikishi-Driver and the Banzai Drop as Rikishi caught hold of Terri. Then Phatu delighted
the capacity crowd by using the Stink Face on Terri before leaving to a thunderous ovation.**

No-Time-Limit-Four Corners MatchLoser-Leaves-Town Match:
Crowbar defeated Yokozuna, Terry Funk and David Flair:
x Yokozuna beat D. Flair via the Banzai Drop in 0:08:22
x T. Funk beat Yokozuna via the Spinning Toe Hold in 0:12:43
x Crowbar beat T. Funk via the Inverted DDT in 0:18:27
Rating: * 1/4
**The four way FIRED match wasn't one of the best matches of the night but it certainly had it's
moments. It had been rumoured that Yokozuna, Crowbar and David Flair were on the way out but
Shane McMahon made sure that Terry Funk was in this match as well. McMahon knowing that Funk
is one of Foley's best friends added him to annoy the Commis.
During the match though the first person eliminated was David Flair. Although the history
books will say it was Yokozuna who beat him, it was in fact his Insane Posse partner, Crowbar.
Crowbar hit David with a lead pipe when he went to tag him in. Then Yoko dragged Flair Jr. to
the ropes and hit the Banzai Drop.
Before David Flair had even been able to roll back outside, Funk attacked Yokozuna. Terry
went right for the leg of Yokozuna which soon left the big man on the mat with no advantage.
Funk concentraited on the leg for another few minutes and it paid off as Yokozuna tapped out
from the Spinning Toe Hold.
When it got to the final two, we saw an awesome match between two men who can take tremendous
amounts of punishment. The ending however saw Shane McMahon come back and distract Tim White,
as Saturn nailed Terry Funk with a DVD. Crowbar then tried to tell Tim White what happened
but the match had to continue, so Crowbar grudingly nailed the Inverted DDT for the win and
a chance to stay in the WWF for longer.**
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Ken Shamrock made Val Venis submit to the Ankle Lock Submission in 0:08:00.
Rating: ***
(Ken Shamrock won the WWF Intercontinental Title.)
**This match saw the champion outclassed by Ken Shamrock. Venis tried everything to keep Ken
Shamrock down and when T & A ran down it looked as if it would be a DQ win. But Shamrock was
able to knock Snow and Test down before they could get him and Mike Kaota allowed the match
to continue. Despite Val's attempts to counter Ken Shamrock managed to apply his Ankle Lock
Submission and Venis could not hold on to the match or his title.**

Kane pinned Bam Bam Bigelow with the Tombstone in 0:05:45.
Rating: ** 1/2
**What the hell has happened to Kane? Ever since he joined the Brood he has become more and
more devestating then before. He completly destroyed Bam Bam in this match. Bigelow tried
to fight back but Kane kept beating him down time and time again. Meanwhile Gothdust and
Gangrel were outside of the ring watching and they seemed to be paying close attention to
Bigelow.**

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Chris Jericho defeated Rocky Maivia by disqualification in 0:14:46.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Chris Jericho retained the WWF Heavyweight Title.)
**The re-match between Jericho and the Rock was just as exciting as the match on Smackdown.
But it had the same ending as the Corporation member's Triple H and Chris Benoit ignored
Mick Foley's warnings by turning up anyway.
Earl Hebner instantly called a DQ as Jericho got tumbled to the outside. The Rock and Jericho
then teamed up together to fight off Benoit and Triple H.
The two worked well together and even managed to combine their efforts to hit the People's
Elbow and the Lionsault, one after the other, on both Corporate men.
Even Shane McMahon felt the Lionsault and People's Elbow combination as he tried to help.
The evening ended as Jericho and Rock stood tall in the ring with the Corporation trying to
re-group as they backed up the rampway.
Match observations:
NEWS DESK by Russell Mania
Summer Slam is just two weeks away and it's expected that Mick Foley will begin announcing the
match ups from Smackdown up until Sunday 27th.
It's being rumoured as well that due to so many factions being formed in the WWF, that the
tag team division may change to incorporate the multiple members of these groups. Will we see
three or even four man tag team titles? Only time will tell.
The firing of Yokozuna and David Flair wasn't to much of a shock as both had failed to show any
improvement over recent weeks. However the loss of Terry Funk will be devestating as he was
one of the main men brought in to help re-build the HaRdCoRe division. However Crowbar did win
regradless of how and he will stay in the WWF for a while longer at least.
However as we speak it is expected that there will be some new additions to the roster to take
the place of these departing superstars.
